Journalists have applied for accreditation, delegations have started shipping their stage props and organisers are busy piecing together the stage. And today the EBU helped give all the frenzied action a bit of structure, but publicly revealing the full schedule of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.
Please note: All times mentioned are in Kyiv local time — so that’s an hour ahead of Central European Summer Time (so Paris +1 hour or London +2 hours).
The schedule follows the usual format. However — unlike previous years — this year’s schedule starts on a Sunday instead of the usual Monday. The first rehearsals — the very first time the performers and crew will work together in the International Exhibition Centre is April 30. These rehearsals are 30 minutes long, with the two semi-finals spread over the first four days.
Scroll down for the entire rehearsal schedule.
The second rehearsals last 20 minutes — the assumption being that acts won’t need as much time to adjust to the stage. Under the confirmed running order, all first semi-finalists will have their second rehearsals on 4 May except Armenia, Slovenia and Latvia.
Their second rehearsals takes place in the morning of 5 May, followed by second semi-finalists Serbia, Austria, FYR Macedonia, Malta and Romania. The Big 5 and host country Ukraine will have their first rehearsals later in the afternoon. The remaining 13 second semi-finalists all have their second rehearsals on 6 May.
The Big 5 and Ukraine will have their second rehearsals a day later on 7 May. As last year, the six countries will perform their songs live at the jury shows, with the recorded highlights played in their corresponding semi-final broadcast. This is to ensure they’ll have the same amount of rehearsal time as the semi-finalists and will also have the experience of performing in front of an audience prior to the grand final.
The team from wiwibloggs will be on-the-ground and inside the arena covering every minute of rehearsals, so be sure to follow us here and on our YouTube channel at wiwi.tv.

OMG. This means that they will kick off in TEN DAYS (well for now) I still remember ESC last year, and it still feels like yesterday. I am getting old…
I really can’t wait, this year will be so exciting 😀
How old are you Roelof??Did you got to EIC?
It kicks of on the 30th. Today is the 19th.
It’s 11 days.

Belgium!!!
Loving that new ending!
Go Blanche!
Thanks for this. Nice choreography from Blanche there, and she raised the octave at the end. Good show. 🙂
It’s interesting (might work better with camera angles) but why did she change last part? That made me out of track a bit :/
Wow thanks for the link 🙂 I was hoping to hear she performed live in our little pretty Belgium but I couldn’t find a good video.
#Flanders4Wallonia
It’s getting real now. Lol
What exactly is the pre-show? I will be in Kyiv (yay!) and I’d like to know what to expect :).
Seems like some very exhausting weeks. Holy moly.
OGAE Netherlands have cast their votes.
1st rehearsal and we will already be seeing some of the favourites rehearsing. can’t wait!
On twitter.com/eurovision_tve , we can see some photos and short video from some show from TVE, with some eurovision singers 2017 , Manel from Spain, Salvador from Portugal (he is not rest in Portugal), Norma from Finland and Tijana from Serbia.
He sings always seated and can not be away for long. Short trips. Heart problems are confirmed by Portuguese public television, all he does is previously authorized by a medical team and EBU has been informed since Salvador won the passport to Kiev.
You keep trying to create your own news … You should go from hater to a pink journalist.
Many new commentators on my comments in last 2 -3 days (and many is full of hate what ever I wrote ) from 2 or 3 nick name, but I think wrote from one same person with different name and email. I don t see comment from Maria Filatova in last few days or months.
I don t get this, he is ill for first 2 rehearsal in Kyev in May and not for travel and sing in Madrid in April
It’s easier to travel from Madrid to Lisbon than from Kiev to Lisbon. Plus someone has the theory that it’s more so he’s available in case a donor appears, in which case it makes sense.
Also, Portugal has another time zone with 2 hours of diffrence.
Time flies so fast. I remember I couldn’t handle the anticipation for Lidia Isac’s rehearsal xD.
This is going to be two exhausting weeks – for the artists, you guys and for us having to watch all the rehearsal videos and reactions. Can’t wait, lol!
What does “viewing camera crew” mean?
I think it’s practice for all the cameraman. They need to know where they need to be at which times.
I’m not 100% sure though.
Watch the Melfest video, it’s going to be the same lol
what? I was just kidding
It actually IS going to be the same lol , Robin said so in interviews, they will just change 2 dancers, but besides that it’s copy paste
I can’t believe it’s this time of year again rofl
