He’s already presented the instrumental, acoustic and Eurovision version of his song “My Friend”.
And on Tuesday Croatia’s Jacques Houdek continued his charm offensive on Europe, releasing the official dance mix of his song from producers Sinisa Reljic and Tony Malm.
The Croato-Swedish production presents the song in a whole new dimension, and one that’s sure to get the feet tapping and the blood flowing.
The music video features Endi, a rising teen star in Croatia, who is also a contemporary dance student at the Academy of Dramatic Art of the University in Zagreb and the winner of several national awards for dance. You’re likely to recognise him from Jacques’ official music video as well.
“Taking part in the filming of the music video for Jacques’ Eurovision song is a special honor for me and I am grateful to Jacques and his team for the opportunity they gave me,” Endi says in a statement sent to wiwibloggs. “I am particularly proud of my role in the official music video where I appear with the adorable three-legged little dog Mayo.”
“During the filming we came up with the idea of using my dancing segment for the music video accompanying the remix. I like it very much, it gives a special dynamic dimension to this powerful song which I’ve loved ever since the first time I heard it.”
“I wish Jacques, who is my singing role model and great friend, and the whole delegation best of luck. I feel that with such a song and top-notch concept Jacques could win.”
Jacques is equally thrilled that Endi lent his talents to the video.
“I am glad that Endi, with his extraordinary dancing talent, brilliantly evoked the atmosphere of the remix,” he said. “I think it’s great that a top young dancer, with a special dancing experience, has been commissioned to do this segment.”
And why did Jacques want to take his song and hit the dance floor?
“In addition to its instrumental and acoustic version, we also wanted the song to have a modern club-music dimension, and so I think it will particularly appeal to the younger audience.”
“I would like to thank once again the entire production team which made it possible for the Croatian team to have a meaningfully rounded concept this year, with as many as four versions of the song and four music videos, which, I am sure, will be awarded by the Eurovision audience.”
Are you loving the dance remix? And what about Endi’s moves? Let us know in the comments box below!
Why he not look as good in pic as in video?
Different camera resolutions, perhaps?
I like Jacques remix from a bit of a complicated and awkward ESC entry ‘My Friend’. In some way it makes it more one song!! And this will also make a great ESC revamp imo!! I also do like the beautifull vid with it. Good Luck
This is probably the most homoerotic video of the year so far. Both my cousin and I agree that ENDI is one of the hottest young men ever! 🙂
I don’t really know how to rate this as a dance track – it’s okay, maybe a bit silly in places? Full marks for promotion to a particular demographic though, as Jacques Houdek states in the article above – although perhaps it will also unintentionally gather interest from more “mature” audiences.
Hmmm……what about your for me and other particular wiwi users? 😉
*your love
@Aria: Don’t worry. My heart is very big, and my love lasts all my lifetime. Love you all. x 🙂
Did you forget about Montenegro’s entry 😛
Oops. Yes I did. Sorry Slavko!
I like Endi very much (I wish you mentioned his full name so that we can search more of him). The remix however is disastrous. From the very first beat the singing and the music are completely different dimensions, splashed together and sounding like a terrible mess.
I respect your opinion about remix, I know nothing about that, for me all remixes sound like ”a terrible mess”, but about the main song, the esc entry, I don’t understand why so many fans hate it. I grew up with Pavarotti duets simply because were broadcasted on tv many times, and is nothing unusual as genre.
Hope there are many fans that will want to vote for Croatia.

I’M WET.
It’s a dark horse . Jacque’s voice sounds amazing live . He can really sing . With good staging it will do well .
if this will do well, then eurovision has turned into nothing more than a freak show
& that will happen in case Jacque’s song does well !? :)))) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAh9NRGNhUU
i hope not, and even HRT doesn’t believe in it, after this dance remix they played Euphoria afterwards, like they wanted to hear something with quality lol
The song isn’t my cup of tea . I find the lyrics to be banal , cheesy , the opera , pop combo to be staccato . What I m saying is that his voice does sound amazing live & that most viewers are going to be impressed with his ability to change voice register so dramatically . That ‘s why I said that if done right it will do well .
yeah he has a amazing voice, but it only confuses me with all these voices mixed in this song, with only 1 sort of style, it could’ve been a cheesy pop song, i’m only saying it might confuse other people, juries will think of it like Jacques is a great vocalist, but confusion is never good with the juries
We’ll have to wait and see the full live package ; The lights , the screens , the shots , his voice on that particular night. I m not saying he’s gonna win (lol) but it won’t be a disaster placement wise (i think) .
actually i don’t care too much if Croatia qualifies or not
i only care about Switzerland and Romania in semi 2, and for the rest it’s a bit more open field to me
I like Hungary – the “rap” part
yeah me too, Hungary also got a Original song 🙂
what a mess that dance remix from Jacques Houdek ft Jacques Houdek’s my friend
it is funny though

Don’t try to be ironic you just manage to be pathetic
I can’t stand her.
??? what’s your damage ???
Not being funny …I understand Dance is something one can interpret in different ways etc but all he did was slide on the floor, do a few jumps and spins….it is what a 6 year old does on the dance floor at a wedding….and he is a rising star? Really?….I am half Croatian so I am allowed to Bitch about my second nation without being a hater 😛
The most beautiful face I have ever seen in my life
