She’s a Polish stunner known for her love of animals and amazing stage presence. And on Monday Kasia Mos put both traits on fine display during her first rehearsal at Eurovision 2017.
Her national final performance of “Flashlight” was dark and mysterious. For Eurovision she’s lightened things up, balancing the song’s dark sound with colour and light. Wearing a translucent white dress with an asymmetrical neckline, she looked like an angel as she stood centre stage. A violinist plays in the background while she serves face and nails her vocals. The LED features a blue sky with stars. Later Kasia turns around and the spotlight shines through her translucent dress, showing off her gym-honed silhouette. A series of doves and smoke then emerge from behind her on the LED. Peace has never looked so fabulous! Another highlight? When Kasia’s circular floor illuminates with constellations denoted by bright pink lights.
Prior to the semi-final some worried about whether Poland would qualify for the final. But today’s quality performance — coupled with Poland’s vast diaspora — suggest to us that she’s a shoe-in.

She will be borderline this year, I am more than sure. Although i like how it’s kept. She doesn’t need tones of pyrotechnics, holograms, dancers etc. Kasia herself is cool enough to be a qualifier.
And yes I am in polish diaspora still not knowing who I will be voting for. Kasia is not obvious choice.
wybacz, ale nie da sie czytac Twojej wypowiedzi – za duzo polskich znakow i obstawiam,ze ich serwer nie bardzo to odczytuje.
*pardon my polish*
I’m not thrilled by the rehearsal! I lked the mood of the song and Kasia slays vocally! She is amazing!
A bland song with bland staging.
I’m not sure it will do well at Eurovision.
I mean it’ll be in the top 6 in the televote and the juries will rank it around 9-12 so it’ll qualify.
Maybe 15th in the final.
Fantastic voice – just a shame about the clunky rhyming lyrics. I think she should qualify on vocal prowess alone, though!
No matter what Poland will send on Eurovision, everything is related to the problem of “Polish diaspora”… I’m Polish living in Poland and those comments are annoying me as hell. Ok, some of Polish people are living outside of our country, but Eurovision is not a big thing in Poland and especially Polish immigrants don’t care about it. Mainly because Poland was always so underrated in that contest (jury votining), so people lost their interest in results of Polish entries. Having “diaspora” is obviously a helper but it doesn’t matter if we count the population of all of the countries.… Read more »
I just watched the clip. Vocally very powerful, as expected. Nothing more to add here.
Not a fan of the dress though? As a fashion designer I can say this dress kind of looks like a student project :/ Apparantly it was made to play with the lighting once the staging gets darker but I really hope she goes with the second one.
Otherwise a definite qualifier 🙂
I like the dress tho. Which is second one?
She took two dresses to Kiev. The second one remains a secret so far, I guess? But I bet it will be gorgeous 🙂
Apparently she even already decided not to go with the white one she wore today. It probably just didn’t work for Kasia.
Tbh, I was glad she didn’t choose black, I think that isn’t good choice.
We”ll see, if there is more beautiful than this one, it will be great 🙂
I’m pretty sure it will be a light color as she is going for a quite vulnerable concept for herself in this song 🙂
it doesn’t look good…
Don’t really like the staging. She is a great singer though. Top 10 but not a winner
Is it even her in the headline photo?! Lord have mercy. Flat song + flat performance = she’s going to have a hard time qualifying (and no, the Polish diaspora won’t be enough to save her – how many times did Poland qualify between 2005 and 2011?).
Who else do you think it might be in the headline photo?
Lol I also hate Poland’s song, but between 2011 and 2014 lots of Polish people emigrated so their diaspora got bigger, in 2005 it was almost inexistent. How do you thinkk Michal got 3rd in televote last year? Crap song+big nationalistic diaspora=sucsess. I think Poland will be (undeservedly) in top10 again, just like Armenia
Michal was voted by almost all countries in Europe, countries with no Polish presence like Hungary and Bulgaria gave them big points.
Oh, pleasent surprise! Strong voice, beautiful outfit, good choice <3
Agreed 😉
I have yet to watch the rehearsal but I’m certain it was perfection.
She is improving vocally with each day, too. So inspiring.
Well, you’ll be disappointed.
Go troll somewhere else, please. You’re plain and simple getting annoying.
Peaceful discussion, please?
Have you read most of the other comments in here? They ain’t really positive.
Ok, we all know that you’re not a supporter of a Polish song or staging, and you can of course, but I do not understand your aggressively way of expressing your feelings. Replying on every positive comment and emphasizing that Kasia sucks seems to be a sign of mentally-related problem. Take it easy, it is only a song competition, and leave Kasia and her fans alone, focus on your favourites. And yes, I’m Polish living in Poland, so I can’t be objective in that matter, but I can’t stand people like you.
I respectively agree with everything you said.
I’m a little disappointed, to be honest. The song is supposed to create an atmosphere of being haunted in the night, the colour scheme and the backdrops don’t seem to reflect that all. I don’t think the violin helps, either. The song has MUCH potential for good staging and I fear it’s been wasted.
Kasia’s rehearsal got better and better with each run-through. And… she’s using a purple floor! She’s down with the purple. 🙂
This should absolutely qualify, in my opinion.
Also great purple shirt wearing from William on this Bank Holiday. I also own that shirt, and was wearing it last night. 🙂
Stars, lights and space as backdrops. Its all becoming a trend for the ballad acts this year.
This is the definition of average
We know now who is win 🙂
I’m afraid if Poland will be promoted to the finals? I would like to promote Poland
Still don’t get this song, I hope it doesn’t qualify because there are more deserved entries in this semi-final
You’ve smelled too much of Jinx Monsoon’s perfume darling. Get back to reality. hehehe
Yeah, I don’t expect it to qualify either.
And yet I think it will qualify easily. Ooo – this one’s getting divisive. How exciting! 🙂
Will it qualify? Yes
Does it deserve to qualify? No
Polish f***ing diaspora
I honestly think it’ll go straight over people’s heads. Typical song that you don’t vote for because there’s something that impressed you more.
She is the most beautiful singer in Europe. Really has a strong voice, beautiful drama and touching. I hope to advance to the finals. Keep your fingers crossed for Kasia. I can not wait. I love Poland.
The strong voice thing is right, but the most beautiful singer in Europe? Really? Ilinca, Alma and Lindita to name a few
Alma , Lindita, ok. But Illinca is ugly.
staging looks so horrible, not what i expected at all
NQ for me, i feel so sad
I’m also disappointed. After watching the official video, I expected something special, an intelligent project. It concerns both stage and clothes.
I’m dying to see the rehearsal. hehehe
I LOVE POLANDDDDDDDD
SHE IS WINNER 2017 🙂
SLAY ME QUEEN
I’m in love with that performance! Kisses all
