Who wore it better? In one corner, we have the cool queen of Iceland. In the other corner, we have the Australian-born power diva from Denmark. And they both showed up to the post-rehearsal meet and greet wearing the same jacket. The battle is on, ladies.
Svala came to Kyiv sans her luggage, but still managed to look edgy and fresh. At her very first press conference, she rocked a jacket, designed by Shoplifter, otherwise known as the Icelandic designer Hrafnhildur Arnardóttir.
This is a rare garment, to say the least. Only 30 pieces were made and sold online — and according to sources, all 30 of them were sold out within days. A chic look and a daring decision for Svala, but being her fabulous self, she totally owned it.
Then it was time for the gorgeous Anja Nissen to step on the stage and wow the public with her keen fashion sense. But uh-oh! Anja and Svala clearly have a lot in common when it comes to making bold decision, regarding their look. Anja also rocked the very same jacket and did she look good! Anja may have a softer look, but that girl has style written all over her.
This was a bit of an “oops” moment, because everybody wants to stand out in Eurovision land. Let’s just hope that this was merely a coincidence, and that it wont spark a feud between the fine countries of Iceland and Denmark. God knows, they’ve had their share of that throughout the centuries!
Now, what we also want to know is who bought the other 28 jackets? May we expect Kasia Mos or Dihaj to show up wearing the same jacket?
So, what do you think? Who wore Shoplifter’s jacket better? Svala or Anja? Please share your thoughts below!
