Ever since his televote-winning performance last year in Stockholm, Sergey Lazarev has not stopped moving. His recent activities — sold out tour, single after single, video after video — have proven his point that things were only just getting exciting at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016.
Sergey’s latest effort is “Sdavaysya” (Surrender), the second single taken from his forthcoming studio album, after “Tak krasivo“.

The Russian pop star could not be more excited about the release of his new song. As he wrote on social media:
As I have already said, I have decided to release my new album step by step, song by song, with gaps of 3-4 weeks in between! The first taste from this series of premieres was the song “Tak krasivo”, which came out four weeks ago, and after only a few hours it topped charts of all the music providers in our country.
And now it is time for the next premiere! It is an incredibly powerful and emotional song “Sdavaysya”, which was written for me by the talented singer, actress and composer Irina Dubtsova! I adore this song, and I am happy that, finally, you can listen to it too! It is all on iTunes, Apple Music and Google Play! Listen to it and download legally!
Apart from the composer Irina Dubtsova, the “You Are the Only One” singer also thanked producers Alex Davia and Second Skin, audio master Alex HardRum, photographer Natali Arefieva and cover artist Mikhail Morozov for their contributions.
A love ballad flavoured with guitar strings and subtle electro beats, “Sdavaysya” is an emotional take on love and passion and surrendering to them. “I did not believe, that the soul without love, as without water, dries up […] Surrender!” Sergey sings.
“When desires prevail, when thirst remains with you forever, I will stop fearing that the wrath of heaven will tell me, This is the end.”
The song’s main asset, however, is Sergey’s voice, which portrays the emotions that colour it marvellously. In an era of auto-tune and overproduction, his unprocessed vocals are a delight to hear.

No, this song was released officially on his VEVO Youtube channel exactly on 1st September, so it is not planned for ESC.
It was not decided yet that exactly he is going in Lisbon.
If he is really going, who knows, maybe he will go with one of the following songs from the upcoming album.
