At the end of 2016 it emerged that Sergey Lazarev was the proud father of a toddler named Nikita.

And on Thursday the Russian pop star showed the world just how special his young son is to him by giving the tot a brief cameo in his new music video “Tak Krasivo” (So beautiful).

The tender video, which Sergey revealed exclusively on his official VK site, ends with young Nikita wrapping his arms around his father’s neck and falling asleep in his arms. The tattoo beneath Sergey’s left ear — N is for Nikita — offers further evidence of Sergey’s love for his only child.

The song, which topped iTunes within hours of its release back in August, celebrates the various forms of love that people share with their romantic partners and their family.

“The video was played by real lovers,” he writes in the caption on VK. “Thank you for sharing your relationships, feelings and love with us.”

Those couples span the demographic spectrum and include a mixed-race couple, two dwarves, a heavily tattooed romantic pair and lesbian couples — no doubt a daring move in a country that isn’t associated with LGBT freedoms.

On Instagram he promoted the video using the hashtag, “TheMostRealVideo”.

While there are obviously going to be haters for any piece of work — especially one that dares to represent real people in this way — the majority of the comments have been positive.

Writing on the VK page, a user named Ekaterina said: “Sergey, this is an incredible video. Shivers! Thank you for these feelings and emotions — a very emotional, sensual and touching clip! And in the end, where you are with your little son…In general, there are no words. I love you and your creativity.”

Sergey has been releasing a new single from his upcoming album every three to four weeks.

“Tak Krasivo” delivers a fresh, laid-back sound and some pretty touching lyrics. “Your love was making sounds, similar to the sound of the ocean,” he sings. “Your love gave me hands to heal wounds.”

Just a few hours after the official release the single reached number one on the Russian iTunes chart — even moving past the international pop hit “Despacito”.

Sergey has said that the style of the song is indeed something new for him. “I’m glad that many people did not recognize me,” he wrote on Instagram. “For many of you this track is unfamiliar, uncomfortable. It’s a thrill! So I’ve achieved my goal! I’m growing, developing, and I can still surprise you!”

The singer describes his newest track as honest, atmospheric and emotional. Even though he sings quietly, the feelings and emotions he emits let off their own fearsome roar. It’s a great way to touch listeners’ hearts.

We’ve translated the Russian lyrics of “Tak Krasivo” into English below. You need to feel the vibe of this.

Sergey Lazarev – “Tak Krasivo” (So beautiful) lyrics

First verse:
Your love was making sounds
Similar to the sound of the ocean.
Your love was giving hands
To heal wounds with them.
Your love was cuddling.
So quietly and was not letting go.
Your love was returning me to the childhood.
It gifted everything that was missing.

Refrain:
Your love, it is so beautiful.
Your love is the power of these beats.
Your love is only my luminary.
Your love, it is so beautiful.
Your love, it is so beautiful.
Your love is the power of these beats.
Your love was driving me crazy.
But your love, it is so beautiful.

Second verse:
Your love was letting me come closer.
It was forgiving shouts, it was being annoying.
It was forgiving pain, appreciating the risks.
Your love was making peace inside me.
Your love, while touching the body
Changed the time to the smell of the skin.
Your love was becoming the whole
Out of the two parts that are so different.

Refrain:
Your love, it is so beautiful.
Your love is the power of these beats.
Your love is only my luminary.
Your love, it is so beautiful.
Your love, it is so beautiful.
Your love is the power of these beats.
Your love was driving me crazy.
But your love, it is so beautiful.

In my culture, saying a baby fat means he eat well, I don’t mean to shaming anybody.

Have you noticed something in this video?
There are at least 2 lesbian couples, but never 2 men together.
Russia accepts 2 women like t.A.T.u., but nooooo 2 men.

Hands, not faces. This was very carefully filmed.
I’m not blaming, in every country it was easier to accept 2 women than 2 men. Sergey is trying.

Glad to see representation, especially from
a Russian one as that takes guts. Bravo Sergey! Nikita is adorable.

Hmmm…does he gave a ‘N’-tattoo for his son Nikita? N in Russian alphabet look like the Latin ‘H’..
