Back in Kyiv in May, he gave Bulgaria its highest placing ever at Eurovision with his song “Beautiful Mess”. Now the talented Kristian Kostov has released his first English-language single since Eurovision 2017, “The One (I Need You)”. Will this song match the success of “Beautiful Mess” for Kristian? In the video, Kristian — who has recently discovered hydrogen peroxide — is sleighing his way through a Russian Christmas market on a date with a young ingenue. The video teases with the possibility that they’re boyfriend and girlfriend, but all is revealed in the twist ending. BFFs forever, y’all!
The song itself oozes the contemporary pop sound that is dominating the charts globally at the moment. Taking inspiration from the likes of Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and Hailee Steinfeld, Kristian absolutely nails his vocal performance on this upbeat pop banger, and shows that he is a young man who suits many genres of music.
And not only is Kristian showing his talents vocally, he actually penned the song himself along with his brother Daniel and his brother’s girlfriend Maria. This song is proof that when family unites, something magical can happen.
Aside from his new single, 2018 appears to be a busy year for Kristian. He will be taking part in the European Border Breakers Awards in the Netherlands later this month, where he will be the first person from Bulgaria or Russia to receive the award. Kristian will also be collaborating with fellow Eurovision 2017 alum Jowst from Norway on a new single, due for release in spring. And Kris’ first EP will be out before Eurovision 2018 in Lisbon.

With this look at Eurovision 2017 he would finished out of TOP 3 or maybe out of TOP 5 in final.
i don’t really like this style of song however his voice is so versatile, he can sing any style .I prefer his previous tracks ” You Got me Girl” and the Eurovision entry ” Beautiful Mess” in my own opinion. A star was born in Kiev last May that is for certain.
