Lithuania’s national selection process Eurovizijos atranka 2018 continued this weekend with tonight’s second heat, where 12 participants sang their entries out.
Justin3 may be out of the competition, but Justinas Stanislovaitis had another go as part of the duet Twosome. Last year’s finalist Paula also returned to compete alongside Mia. And despite questioning the judging panel from the 2015 final in a recent interview, Vaidas Baumila was on tonight’s jury panel. Awkward.
After all 12 participants performed and the results were announced, Saules kliošas qualified as tonight’s winner, and will be joined by Twosome, Paula, Elizabeth Olshey, Juozas Martin and Audrius Petrauskas.
Eurovizijos atranka 2018 – heat two running order

Really impressed with Saules Kliošas. My fave!
Elizabeth – 643
Twosome – 643
but
Elizabeth – 10 points
Twosome – 8 points
If Elizabeth would have get the 8 points, she would have tied with MIA (both 11 points) and the jury voting was the last decision, so Mia should have qualy. This looks very strange.
I thought the same…
Saul?s Kliošas was definitely the best that night! I don’t get the hype around paula, she had bad vocals and another unoriginal pop song..
Agreed! 😉
Elisabeth <3
Whoever that 10th performer was, damn the music ruined it. Two notes pounding like a fire alarm by the minute mark, had to skip despite vocal performances.
Twosome, Paula, and Emilija were the only acts that I could get through. For different reasons, but still.
I am Lithuanian myself, and this selection is honestly just the weirdest thing ever.
Not to mention that the jury makes inexplicable decisions, the tiebreaker used for 1st-3rd places was apparently jury votes, while the 5th-6th place tie was broken by televote. Umm, hello? Is this just bases upon a random whim of someone?
No, it was also broken by the jury. Jury gave more points to Juozas than to Audrius, and in combined results Juozas is 5th and Audrius is 6th.
As for jury taste – well, they always liked these weird, alternative acts like Fusedmarc, Godo (from last show) and Saules Kliosas. It’s nothing new
@all of the people complaining
did you watch the show? these rankings are not that weird
Jury is a real comedy. Only Paula and Mia can sing, other singers to the street.
I see their jury has a thing for flop groups. If they pull a Fusedmarc this national final needs to be either canceled or revamped because seriously.
Watch them push Vidas Bareikis – Pusvalanduko. Barf…
Lithuania’s jury is a mess. The fact that they’re there is beyond me, let alone the fact that their votes outweighs the public’s choice.
Mia’s out? I see she didn’t joke when she said this is her last participation…
Annoying voice to listen, generic song. But she thinks she’s a star and must win.
100% agree. I’m sick of her saying she will never come back and yet she’s always comes.

Saul?s kliošas was amazing!
Elizabeth – 643
Twosome – 643
but
Elizabeth – 10 points
Twosome – 8 points????
That doesn’t even make sense because Twosome performed earlier so according to the Eurovision rules they should have gotten the public’s ten.
Twosome should have gotten 0 lbr. Trash song.
Strange results as always. The second semi was stronger than the first one.
The top three acts all tied with 18 points… I guess they used jury as a tiebreaker and not televote like typical.
I haven’t seen the performances yet but I am surprised Mia didn’t qualify.
