Nu kör vi! Melodifestivalen 2018 starts this Saturday, with seven acts set to compete in Deltävling 1 in Karlstad. Two places in the grand final and two places at Andra Chansen are up for grabs, and all seven acts will be hoping to take Sweden by storm. David Lindgren will host all of the shows, becoming the first solo Melodifestivalen host since Petra Mede in 2009.
Let’s Dance star Sigrid Benson, Melodifestivalen 2017 act Benjamin Ingrosso and Mello legend Kikki Danielsson will all take to the stage in their bid to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Portugal in May.
They’ll be joined by masked Norwegian star Kamferdrops, comedian Edward Blom, Idol contestant Renaida, and John Lundvik who performed at the wedding of the heir apparent to the Swedish throne Crown Princess Victoria in 2010.
So before they step out on stage in Karlstad we want to know who you’re most excited for! You can vote for as many of your favourites, but use your votes wisely as unlike the Melodifestivalen app, you can only vote once.
The poll will close on Thursday when the first snippets of this semi-final’s songs start premiering.

when will the snippets be released?
I’m surprised that Benjamin’s song is described as 100% odd/unusual. I believed that it will be something simmilar to ‘Good Loving’, seems that it won’t.

This is probobly the worst semifinal for me. But you never know. I have been looking forward to Liamoo, Dotter and Mariette since the reveals. Perhaps Margaret aswell. Benjamin Ingrosso’s voice is not quite my taste, but the song can be good. And “Patrick Swayze” is an interesting title 🙂

Since then Norway didn’t gave 12 points to Sweden. It seems Norway was not happy with this sarcasm.
I mean, Sweden’s entries in that time haven’t exactly been worthy of 12 points.
