Nu kör vi! This weekend the semi-final stage of Melodifestivalen 2018 draws to a close in northerly Örnsköldsvik. The final seven acts of the competition will take to the stage of the Fjällräven Center, where they’ll fight it out in front of thousands of Swedish spectators, four years after Örnsköldsvik last hosted a stage of Melodifestivalen in 2014.
Two acts will advance direct to the final at Stockholm’s Friends Arena, two more will duke it out at the duels of Andra Chansen and three unfortunate acts will advance no further than the stage of the Fjällräven Center.
Phantom Of The Opera star Emmi Christensson opens the show with “Icarus”, 16-year-old singer Elias Abbas sings “Mitt Paradis” in second and returning competitor Felicia Olsson rounds out the first three acts, singing her power ballad “Break That Chain”.
Carrying us across the midwaypoint of the show is dansband Rolandz, while bad student Olivia Eliasson sings “Never Learn” in fifth, and singing sixth Felix Sandman is going from boybander to balladeer on “Every Single Day”.
Two-time finalist Mariette closes the show with her much anticipated entry “For You”.

Last week your favourite Dotter failed to advance from her semi-final, crashed on take-off and was revealed to have ended in sixth place in her semi-final. Your favourites have done better in the two proceeding weeks though: Margaret advanced to Andra Chansen from her heat and Benjamin Ingrosso was one of two winners in the first semi-final.
