Pop out a can of crazy and let’s drink! Over the weekend the new season of the Eurovision pre-parties kicked off in Riga, and Moldova’s Doredos made sure everyone left tapping their toes and singing Moldova’s entry “My Lucky Day“.

One of the most uplifting and easy-to-dance-to entries this year, it was only natural that this trio should close the show. In addition to “My Lucky Day”, DoReDos also performed their songs “Ciao Bella” and “Constantine“, proving that they can shine outside the Eurovision bubble, too.

DoReDos Interview at the Riga Preparty

Prior to the show DoReDos — which consists of Marina Djundiet, Eugeniu Andrianov and Sergiu Mita — spoke to wiwiblogger Chris about their journey so far.

Commenting on their O melodie pentru Europa 2018 win, Marina said: “It was great. It was unexpected because the jury gave us twelve points and the people gave us twelve points too. It was really nice for us.”

Their previous two attempts to win the Moldovan national selection, in 2015 and 2016, were unsuccessful. Now they are performing in various countries as part of their own pre-Eurovision promotion and as guest stars in Philipp Kirkorov’s Baltic tour.

“Yes, it is a great opportunity for us to meet a lot of people, to discover new countries,” Marina said.

“And this is a very good experience for us before Eurovision because we sing the song every time, a lot of times, and it is great for us.”

Russian singer-songwriter Philipp Kirkorov represented Russia in the Eurovision Song Contest 1995 with “Kolybelnaya dlya vulkana“. He has since remained prominent in Eurovision circles, composing popular entries for Belarus 2007, Ukraine 2008, Russia 2014 and 2016 — and now Moldova 2018.

DoReDos — “My Lucky Day”: Live at the Riga PreParty

“We feel great because the song has some magic,” Marina said. “It is like us, because it is funny and the song can give people a smile and good feelings.”

DoReDos did not reveal how their performance will look like in Lisbon, but they hinted it was going to be different to all the performances they have given so far.

“No, for sure we’re gonna be different. The show is gonna be unusual for Eurovision […] very funny and interesting.”

What do you think? Will the 10th and the 12th of May be lucky days for DoReDos? Tell us in the comments section below!

The song is just terrible. Won’t make it to the top. I hope it stays in their Semi Final.
