Israel’s Netta came out on top during the first of Germany’s Songcheck shows and Eleni Foureira from Cyprus managed to win the second show on Wednesday. On Friday, it was all in for Madame Monsieur as they achieved the highest score of the third show. And on Monday, Germany’s songcheck jury, experts and viewers turned to the remaining nations of the second semi-final as well as Italy.

Benjamin Ingrosso from Sweden received the highest score from both viewers and the two hostsYes, he took Germany to the dance floor!

ABOUT THE GERMAN SONGCHECK

The songcheck has taken place every year since Lena’s triumph with “Satellite” at the 2010 contest. Hosted by Alina Stiegler and Stefan Spiegel, the pair discuss the entries with a panel of experts, and also bring in comments from readers and viewers.

The 2018 programme marks the first time where the expert panel includes new personalities. Along with the usual faces such as Germany’s commentator Peter Urban and radio host Thomas Mohr, we also heard from Levina, drag queen Olivia Jones and our very own William Lee Adams and Deban Aderemi.

Doesn’t make Israel’s song any better. I think it shouldn’t win.

Huh? So Sweden didn´t like it or what? Is that the reason behind the alleged feud?
I find that ridicilious. So some people don’t like your song. you get angry for a decade over it? That’s something 15 year old teenagers do..

Furthermore, there were 6 Swedes there… out of 9 million. 4000 people have watched the vid, out of the 10 million in Portugal.

I’m portuguese and i don’t care.
They didn’t like the song, so what? They were rude and ignorant in the comments, so what? Not all swedish are like that. Some portuguese are also like that.

I don’t know anyone in real life who knows about this “incident”…

Det var ju skoj för Benjamin. Hoppas det går bättre än dit vindarna blåser just nu. : )

Men kanske även i ESC. Hoppas.

Precis. Därför bör du prata med folk utanför bloggen. Även om vi hade en vinnare hade folk ändå hatat den. Loreen hade hur många hatare som helst. På YouTube hyllar folk den.

Why, because is not about refugees? People want songs like Moldova.
I hope so much that Europe will not accept the little girl gimmick, but unfortunately Europe is not very smart and will vote for the pity votes beggars. France, go and win, but you will be a disgrace.

How can you assume these awful things… I’m sad for you… Hope France will win to show people like you who can’t feel empathy and believe in stupid conspiracy theories that they truly are a minority… A noisy one but still à minority…

If you want to support Moldavia do that. It’s my daughters favorite to, but be respectfull towards those you don’t like. ESC is suppose to be fun and make people happy.

My daughter think Moldavia is best and the audience who will vote are in diffrent ages and have diffrent taste. It’s not my favarite at all, but I think many will apiciate the happy sound, the same way they did whith moldavia last year.

Now guess how many points Germany will receive from these countries. You’re right ZERO. What a bad idea to expose your countries taste like that. You only make enemies.

Lmao, 99% of televoters in these countries won’t know these ratings on the day of the final. This won’t influence the result at all. It’s a bubble thing.

Sweden has a similar show and this is how it started the Sweden-Portugal feud. Portugal did not even wanted to participate when Sweden hosted in 2016. I do think is a bad idea to have such a show.

This is not representative for Germany and how the jury and the public from Germany will vote. It is the score of 2 show masters combined with people that watched the show and voted.

Do German citizens spend money to vote in such shows? Money well spent (sarcasm). After we saw the girl Mercy, France has no more cards to play, and the rehearsals didn’t even started.
