London. Tel Aviv. Amsterdam. Madrid. And now after weeks of preparties, SuRie has returned to London once again, to give a send-off performance on The Graham Norton Show.

The UK Eurovision hopeful performed “Storm” in an LED diamond, rocking her music video monochrome look to the max. The lighting also mirrors the music video, switching between red and white.

Things start fiery, moody and red. They then shift to a lighter colour scheme, with lights blinking in and out in sync to the beat. It’s particularly effective during the song’s anthemic bridge.

The performance also gains depth from audience participation, as the crowd wave glowsticks throughout, including Graham himself.

It may give a clue to staging in Lisbon, as SuRie’s screens from Eurovision: You Decide won’t be available on stage in Lisbon.

Prior to Friday night’s live broadcast, SuRie had earlier shared pics from the show’s taping on social media, including this photo she grabbed with actress Tamsin Greig. Other guests on the show included actor Orlando Bloom and comedian Stephen Merchant

• I adore Tamsin Greig so much I just had to rub my face on hers @thegrahamnortonshow •

Since Graham took over commentating duties in 2009 it’s become tradition for the UK Eurovision act to perform on his show. Acts from Blue to Lucie Jones to Electro Velvet have all stopped by the show’s performance stage en route to Eurovision.

We’ll next see SuRie in a week’s time in Lisbon, when the Big Five have their first rehearsals. There we’ll see for the first time what the UK have planned for their staging and how things will look when SuRie performs at the grand final.

Acts competing in the semi-finals are already arriving in Lisbon for first rehearsals which begin on Sunday.

The Wiwi Team is on the ground in Lisbon and will bring full coverage of events, including rehearsals, exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes stories.

Funnily enough Stephen Merchant was a guest on this when Blue appeared back in 2011

I don’t get why this is so underrated?!? I love her trademark and style (Annie Lennox) and hopefully, expectations will rise after her rehearsals (like Lucie last year)

Say what you want about the song, but SuRie absolutely sells it for me. It puts a smile on my face every time I hear it and I can’t wait to see what she does in Lisbon

Is it just me or do comments mentioning netta get extra minus points just because she is number one in the betting odds?

It could be because people think she’s overrated, or just because this is an article about SuRie, not Netta. 🙂

It was good. That high note is still not as strong as it could be, but it was fine. The slight revamp has robbed it of some of its bounce – I’m not at all sure how this will fare. I doubt Top 10, but hopefully slightly better than recent years.

Poor SuRie, such a talented performer with one rubbish of a song. She’s the Levina of 2018, sadly.

It literally just transmitted here. 🙂
It was okay. Her vocals are much better in the lower key. The staging is all minimalist.
I still find this song awkward to sing, but SuRie does her best with it. I wish her all the best in Lisbon.

I have a feeling we will be seeing quite a few acts either singing in/on a fluorescent-tube box or some variation of that. SuRie’s staging (if this is it) reminds me of Electro-Velvet and their costumes ….and that’s not necessarily good 🙁

People saying this sounds like a song from the 90’S are DELUSIONAL and need their ears checked, this is 2014 at best

Surie is a great singer. unfortunately her song is so 90’s and boring.
Anyway, can’t wait to see Netta and Jessica on the stage.
