In the spring she proved that Sweden is more than willing to embrace foreign artists as she competed in Melodifestivalen with her breezy song “In My Cabana”. Swedes — and Eurofans the world over — fell in love with Margaret and her track, pushing it up the Spotify and iTunes charts and turning it into one of our readers’ favourites in the contest. The Polish beauty ultimately came seventh in the final — a huge achievement for a non-Swedish artist competing in the northern country.

And her cabana ain’t cooling down. Margaret continues to wow audiences with the song — most recently in the Swedish summer music show Allsång på Skansen, one of the country’s most popular TV shows. Other acts included Avantgardet, Markoolio, Lilla Al-Fadji and Cornelia Beskow.

Margaret toned down her yellow, Mexican-inspired staging from Melodifestivalen and instead delivered something in a more white and natural palate, which suited the summery Stockholm evening well.

Otherwise the performance was really similar to the Melodifestivalen performance: a lot of movement, the same choreography and even the same backing dancers. Reduce, reuse, recycle — that is efficiency!

She also performed her other big hit — the upbeat and rough “Cool Me Down”, which got a lot of attention during Melodifestivalen because of accusations that Jenifer Brening’s “Party Shore” sounded realllly similar.

Despite all the speculation about what was going on, Margaret kept her cool and didn’t pursue her potential grievances. Instead, she just said in one of our interviews: “We talked yesterday with all the writers about that and we all agreed that we are flattered. Thank you. We really admire that someone can be so inspired by our music. It’s great, thank you.”

That’s so right. Focusing on your own music and moving forward is the way you succeed — and she is obviously succeeding if her Instagram account is anything to go by.

She has consistently published pictures from different gigs and also from different commercials she’s made turns in.

Big-time companies want her as their face — and, in the case of Polish nail polish company Semilac, their hands!

In the post above you can see your queen serving face and finger as she extends her digits to reveal perfectly manicured pink nails. There’s gloss, there’s depth, there is Mar-ga-ret.

Proving that she always thinks head to toe, Margaret has also starred in a campaign for the German shoe company Deichmann.

Have you already seen Margaret’s performances on Allsång på Skansen? What did you think? Let us know in the comments below.
