Since representing Switzerland at Eurovision 2017, Timebelle has found strength in numbers. Last year they joined forces with Soundland on “Come Around” and Timebelle has yet again teamed up for another collaboration.
“Heartache” is the latest joint project between the producer and DJ Soundland and the Swiss-Romanian band Timebelle. A lazy club beat thumps around Miruna’s seductive vocals making this offering another infectious style of lounge pop.
The song could be described as an epiphany of a person who recognises a lover’s influence and is ready to disengage from the negativity it represents. A familiar tale for many of us, but yet there’s enough spirit in this number to make us groove.
The music video was carefully shot to capture landscape perfection. Taking in Swiss locations such as Creux du Van, Bern, Schwarzenburg and St. Moritz as well as popping over to Milan in Italy, the idea was to feature some of the band’s favourite places. As they’ve explained in previous interviews, St. Moritz — famous for its exquisite ski resorts, winter sports and dreamy views — remains their favourite place in Switzerland.
Speaking exclusively with wiwibloggs, Timebelle explain this further:
“The “Heartache” video is part of a trilogy package with two other videos that we shot around the same time. “Come Around”, which we released almost one year ago, was the first video we released, and the final instalment would be launched in a couple of months. The video shoots were quite a marathon. Three videos in three days!
“We have enjoyed every single moment of it, even though sometimes we didn’t have any energy left after freezing for long hours in the cold, we are very happy with the result.”
Heartache is available on all music platforms today.
