sanja vucic hurricane group serbia

Summer might nearly be over, but it looks like there’s still some sun to soak up. For Serbia’s 2016 entrant Sanja Vucic, that involves heading to Ibiza in Spain for a photoshoot with her new group, Hurricane.

Sanja has been sharing photos from the shoot on her Instagram – and we’re loving the looks served up. Those headbands are on point, ladies!

Hurricane is made up of Sanja, Ivana Nikolic and Ksenija Knezevic. If Ksenija’s name looks familiar — there’s a reason. She’s the daughter of another Eurovision alumni, Montenegro’s Knez, performing alongside him on numerous occasions.

The story of the group’s formation is explained on their website by their founder, Zoran Milinković. After Hurricanes Irma and Maria devastated the Carribean in 2017, Milinkovic participated in the cleanup efforts on the island of Sint Maarten.

After returning to Serbia, he then formed the group to send another message of support. Hurricane’s first single, fittingly, is named “Irma, Maria”. The music video shows cleanup efforts, whilst the song preaches the strength and will to rebuild after tragedy.

And the group has had a busy 2018 so far, releasing a number of new songs. “Feel Right” has hit an impressive 311k views on YouTube. “Personal”, released in July, isn’t far behind either.

This week has also seen the release of their latest single, “Who to Love”.

Hurricane — Who to Love

“Who to Love” is a tropical club track that has a simple message: “Don’t judge me on who to love”. There’s a music video coming soon, but it looks like many fans on YouTube are already convinced.

There’s also several comments asking Hurricane to sign up for Beovizija 2019 — Serbia’s national selection. Will Sanja and the girls listen to the calls and try for Tel Aviv?

What do you think of Hurricane’s tracks? Would you want to see them enter Beovizija? Let us know all your thoughts in the comments below.

I assume Ksenija was one of her father’s backups on stage for “Adio” at ESC 2015, yes?

if they entered beovizija this could bring serbia to the top 10, since serbia never really sends stuff like this

I’m not sure how to react to “Irma, Maria”, but by the end of it my body was moving.
