Did you know that more than 14 million people hold an Australian passport, and that every year around nine million Australians use their passports to travel overseas? Well Eurovision 2017 singer Isaiah Firebrace does — and he’s letting the world know in an official video series uploaded by Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Part I of the three-part series focuses on production. From high-security printing to lasers that burn holes, Isaiah guides us through the production process with his decidedly husky and inviting voice. Ink, paper, thread, laminate — these components have never sounded so good!
The other two videos focus on applying for a passport and ensuring and protecting your identity.
The behind-the-scenes series was released earlier this summer. Unfortunately in a description on the DFAT web site, they describe Isaiah as “the 2017 Eurovision semifinalist”. Last time we checked he came ninth in the grand final! That faux pas aside, it’s great that officials wanted Isaiah to be a face of the nation (and its high-tech approach to embedding security features in passports).
Of course, Isaiah’s been doing a lot more than starring in government videos. In recent days he’s been busy in the recording studio and has used several Instagram posts to tease new music that’s coming soon.
And as part of that he’s whipping himself into shape. On August 23 he shared a snap with celebrity personal trainer Andy Brand, along with a caption shouting out to SBS Eurovision commentator Joel Creasey.
“This legend has taken the challenge to train me AND put up with me for a month,” he wrote. “Getting into shape for my new release soon. @joelcreasey is he any good???”
We’re pretty sure we know Joel’s answer. He trained extensively with Andy to get in shape to host I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here.
At the time he said: “He actually transformed my life. He’s also my counsellor, dietician [sic], security guard, gossip absorber and is an amazing wingman”.
Are you looking forward to new music from Isaiah? Are you keen on his new, beefier look? Let us know in the comments box below!
I wish my passport was blue! I also want a blue one, dammit.
He’s got a great speaking voice. Too bad that as far as Eurovision goes, he’ll always be known primarily for unjust jury favoritism.
Isaiah was my love back in 2017, he was sooo cute and sexy. And now: no open hair, no cuteness, nothing left from the old Isaiah – and he has a girlfriend 🙁 🙁 🙁 My heart is broken… XD
Are you sure you’re 22?
Dude was a minor. Are you sure you should be saying that?
Consent age is 14 in Germany along with half of Europe. And he said nothing predatory either way.
@Polegend Godgarina: Yes, I am sure XD I don’t want “old men”, like many LGBTs are stating. I need a cute young man, a bit feminine, no sixpack please! I am totally looking for a “twink” like me 🙂 My maximum age is 27, older boys are not hot to me 🙂
@Rose: Yes, the minimum age in Germany is 14. And if 14-18 year old people want to be with over 18 year old people, it is absolutely legal, if BOTH want so 🙂 And I was 20 at Eurovision 2017, Isaiah was 17, so it is completely legal to say so 😉 I don’t want a 14 year old, but come on, Isaiah and me, we are both young men ^^
This conversation right here is the perfect argument for why I would never ever date a Eurovision fan. Fandom wrecks your brain.
@Mr. Vanilla Bean: Haha, why? I just said that Isaiah is hot 😉 You and I could be a couple without problems of fandomship 😀 Are you interested? Joking ^^
I’m sorry to disappoint, but he already has a girlfriend.
What the heck did I just read
It is so funny, that someone gets dislikes when he says, someone else is hot 😀 I don’t get your problem. I am bisexual and I want men in my age, so Isaiah is pretty sweet 🙂
Yes, but Isaiah isn’t at your age honey. He is 4 years younger than you. 😉
Macron’s wife is 25-30 years older than him and you are complaining about 18 and 22 😀
Fitness First is a very pricy gym franchise so he better make it all worth it. 🙂
Rocking that burgundy jacket since Eurovision Day 1 of rehearsals
