Thanks to everyone who joined our live chat on Thursday evening. We only gave you guys 20 minutes notice — this was all rather impromptu and last minute! — but it was great to see so many familiar names and to read your funny comments and questions.

In this video we briefly send our best wishes to Edoardo Grassi, the departing Head of Delegation for France. The news of his departure sent shockwaves through the fandom earlier today and you can read all about it. That’s from 2:37 in the video above.

And from 6:17 you can hear me — and Kiwi Robyn and Aussie Sebastian — sounding off on what form Australia’s rumoured national selection may take. Full article on that below.

What do you want us to focus on in our next live chat?

For the next live chat, I hope you guys discuss Eurovision 2019 and the preparations surrounding it and Melfest 2019 and I would also love it if during the next live chat, you could also do a segment where you guys look back on Eurovision 2018 and discuss things like shock qualifiers/non-qualifiers, surprising results, biggest disappointments, growers, and surprises, etc.

Thanks for those suggestions! We definitely have plans for more live videos – they’re fun to do and quick to get out. And yes, Melfest will definitely be discussed!

If you’re looking for videos analysing Eurovision 2018, I encourage you to take a look at the Wiwibloggs YouTube channel archive. Over the summer we have been uploading lots of videos looking at different aspects of ESC 2018. Now that the 2019 national final season is here, we will be focusing on that rather than looking back. 🙂
