Her powerful live vocals blew Europe away in 2016 and shot her into Eurovision history — marking Australia’s first win among the juries and best ever result at Eurovision to date.

In her most recent single release, Dami Im returns to her live vocal roots, proving that the Seoul-born soul singer has some serious pipes in “Dreamer”.

The track comes from a deep place for Dami, in telling a story about fighting back — not only against those who nay say, but also against self-doubt. Dami confidently and emphatically tells the listener, “I’m a dreamer, a believer. I know what I want, I know who I am”. And we believe her, in every power of every note.

The track is made all the more powerful in its live delivery — an overly produced studio cut would simply not do “Dreamer” justice. Even though her previous tracks like “Sound of Silence” and “Super Love” were absolute pop-bangers, it’s without doubt that Dami’s strength lies in her vocals. And “Dreamer” makes them take centre stage and absolutely shine.

Those waiting to hear more of Dami’s live performances need not wait long – Live Session EP will be released early in the new year, on January 11.

Dami recently appeared at the announcement of Australia’s national final for their 2019 Eurovision entrant, Eurovision: Australia Decidesto be held in her home state of Queensland. Performing an acoustic version of “Sound of Silence”, the former X Factor Australia winner is beyond excited to see Australia embrace a national final.

And when she’s not busy touring or recording, Dami has taken in front of the camera to showcase every angle of her enviable figure. Whether in op-shop attire, or Topshop crops, we’re living for this lemon look.

“Dreamer” is available to stream now. Her latest compilation Live Session EP will be released next year on January 11 and is available for pre-order here.

Not loving the photos chosen to promote this. They make her look like a 12 year old trying to look sexy with all the creepiness that implies.
