They’re the former upstarts who turned into leading stars after they led the rebirth of Operacion Triunfo. And the likes of Alfred and Amaia and Aitana and Ana War have been busy over the summer. Between albums, collaborations, debuts and awards shows, the class of 2017 has proven they are full of star power. The last quarter of 2018 has been intense. So let’s look at some of their recent achievements, of which there are many.

Alfred

The best faring male artist in the edition, as well as a Eurovision contestant, Alfred Garcia has without a doubt used his OT platform to the best extent possible. He’s been lighting social media up at various festivals, and now Alfred’s taking charge with his new album “1016”, which drops on December 14th. He’s also adopted a new, more youthful image (with some glitter on the side). He has given us a new taste of what’s to come, releasing a music video of his newest single “De La Tierra Hasta Marte” (From Earth To Mars) and performing it live on this season of Operacion Triunfo.

Aitana

Riding hot on the wheels of “Lo Malo” and a certified OT silver medal, Aitana Ocaña has kept slaying left and right. After the release of the highly acclaimed “Teléfono”, the Barcelona starlet can only go up. She has gone to remix this hit single with internet star Lele Pons, as well as serving as a presenter at this year’s Latin Grammy’s, bumping shoulders and making contacts at the star-studded event. And fresh out of the oven, Aitana has given us her new mini-album “Trailer”, that includes the new remix of Teléfono and much more. Ain’t nothing but todo lo bueno for Aitana!

Amaia

The winner of the last edition, as well as the other half of the Eurovision act for Lisbon, Amaia has taken a slower pace this latter half of the year, but not that much less than her co-stars. She has featured on multiple singles, including the remake of one of her Euroivision bids, “Al Cantar”, with fellow Spanish star and author Rozalen, and also featured on one of the singles of indie band Carolina Durante.

Miriam

The bronze medalist of the 2017 edition is ready to take Spain by storm! Miriam Rodriguez’s new album, “Cicatrices” (Scars) showcases the singer’s strong vocals while bringing a contemporary vibe. Her two singles “Hay Algo en Mi” (There’s something in me) and “No!” have reached millions of views on Youtube, and she is currently taking her new album on a tour across all of Spain. We say yay, Miriam! Yay!

Ana Guerra/War

One half of “Lo Malo” is headed to the party, y’all! After releasing a single with Juan Magan, Ana War is readying herself for a whole new single that’s bound to set the dance floors of Ibiza ablaze! On December 7th the starlet will release a new track “Bajito” that is bound to follow in the footsteps of her previous releases. Girls just wanna have fun!

What do you think? Do you feel the OT stars will have what it takes to take the music scene by storm? Who are you constantly repeating in your playlist? Let us know in the comments below!

We deserve a full album from pop legend Aitana, NOT a five-song EP.

Looks like Alfred is suffering from domestic abuse. Somebody has to stop Amaia!
