She is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars to break out of Operacion Triunfo 2017. Earlier this summer, she dropped “Teléfono” which topped the Spanish charts for weeks. And now Aitana‘s debut EP Tráiler also sits on top of the list.

A post shared by AITANA (@aitanax) on

This year has been a huge success for the Spanish chanteuse. Following her appearance on OT, “Lo malo” went on to become one of the biggest songs of the year in the country. And the platinum plaques continue to come in as “Teléfono” also reached number one. Given the popularity Aitana has achieved, her fans could barely contain their excitement for her first extended play “Tráiler”, which dropped on 30 November.

She also teamed up with Lele Pons for a remix of “Teléfono”. The video has already accumulated more than 25 million views. She’s unstoppable!

Tráilerbecomes Aitana’s first project to top the Spanish album charts. Moreover, the track “Vas a quedarte”, an emotional ballad, ranks first on the single charts. “Teléfono” is at number three in its 19th (!) week on the charts, while “Mejor Que Tú” comes in at eight. The two English-language tracks “Popcorn” and “Stupid” debut at number 13 and 20, respectively. Overall, her songs have been streamed 174 million times on Spotify alone. The numbers clearly underline her momentum!

What do you think? Are you loving Tráiler as much as everyone else? Let us know in the comments below!

I have just listened to “Popcorn”, cause I got interested by the title. It’s kind of special but very cool. Went straightly into my YouTube-playlist 😀

So you guys talk about Aitana, but say absolutely nothing about Alfred’s single. Nice.

We wrote about Alfred’s single on the day of its release (see link below). We’ll write about any successes of his upcoming album ‘1016’ as they happen. 🙂

Should’ve been a full album tbh, I don’t get how EPs are still a thing among huge artists in the streaming era.

money, thats the reason. those who will buy 1 album may buy 2 Eps, making more money in the process, and making their success more visible and lasting on time.

But not many people ‘buy’ albums in 2018, most have moved to streaming, and the more songs, the more money.

Not hating on her, but could you stop any publications about her in this blog? Yes, she’s big, but she’s not a part of Eurovision, and this is like putting shade on Amaia.

So you’re basically saying don’t mention anyone who didn’t win a national final because technically they weren’t part of Eurovision. So by that logic we shouldn’t talk about margaret anymore because she wasn’t in Eurovision and that would be putting shade on Benjamin Ingrosso. So we shouldn’t talk about anyone who didn’t win their national final because that we be throwing shade at the winner. We also shouldn’t talk about national finals then because their participants technically aren’t part of Eurovision by your logic. I think that’s kind of narrow minded yes she didn’t participate in the Eurovision show itself… Read more »

No, it’s not as narrow as you think, I chose the wrong words to describe my opinion. Sure it’s okay to give informations about NF competitors, but with Aitana, she gained the biggest success post-OT, and also got much publication in this blog. It’s nothing bad, really, and Aitana is a prolific artist that we all should live for, but it shows contrast between how Amaia’s and Aitana’s career is heading and this is how it’s throwing shade, that the publications are heading to the way that Aitana’s supposed to be the winner of OT, or “Lo Malo” should be… Read more »

Well being completely honest “Lo Malo” should have gone to Eurovision last year as Spain would have probably gotten somewhere in the competition with that song! The only reason Amaia and Alfred went was because of all the hype surrounding their relationship, also people saying why don’t they mention Alfred and his new single on this blog, Well he’s not really worth mentioning now is he ??
