Back in May, the official music video for Netta‘s Eurovision-winning song “Toy” pushed past Lena and Jesse Matador to become the most watched video on the official Eurovision YouTube account. But now, seven months later, it’s clocked up an incredible 100 million views.

The video was originally uploaded in March 2018 and was the first time Eurovision fans had to hear Netta’s quirky and super catchy song with a message. The music video also introduced Netta’s colourful style and some of the elements that were to be repeated in the stage performance.

After the song won over televoters and secured Israel its fourth Eurovision win, the music video quickly went on to clock up over 58 million views. This put “Toy” ahead of Jessy Matador’s “Allez Ola Ole” and Lena’s “Satellite” music videos — both of which had previously looked very secure at the top of the chart.

It’s even more remarkable to consider that “Toy” achieved this record in just nine months, while Jessy Matador and Lena have had over eight years each to accumulate their totals.

“Toy” still has a way to go before it outranks a some iconic Italian stallions. The music video for the original version of Il Volo‘s “Grand amore” has over 137 million views. Even more impressive is the music video for the original version of Francesco Gabbani‘s song “Occidentalis karma”. It has clocked up over 207 million views.

However, both these videos use the song in a longer form than the version that was entered into Eurovision in their respective years.

Other popular videos on the official YouTube channel include recent Eurovision-winning songs from Loreen, Conchita Wurst, Måns Zelmerlöw; enduring fan favourites such as “Always”, “Hard Rock Hallelujah” and “Düm Tek Tek”; and recent hits “Fuego” and “Lie to Me”.

The grand final performance of “Toy” also features with 31 million views, while the semi-final performance has 21 million views.

The chart-topping success of “Toy” is another achievement in a remarkably successful year for Netta. LOL I’m mostly surprised to see France 2010 that high in the list.

Congrats Netta!! It’s probably one of the most interesting songs of Eurovision history. It’s a LOVE or HATE entry tho. It didn’t have the same effect as “Euphoria” did when most of the viewers agreed it was the clear winner.

NO BIG 5

I did love netta and her sonk. Only a shame she is from Israhell. I boycott the show next year. Its waiting or it will be a real apartheid show. Israel must stop with killing people and stealing land. Ofcourse the EBU not care about it. They only care about making profit and money. 😉 Thats why we still have the big 5 rule. Its euro’s vision now a day’s. I did hear the slogan for next year will be. “WE ARE EURO’S VISION NOW A DAY’S. But keep it secret 🙂 :3

I LOVE when stupid people try to get political. It almost looks like you know what you’re talking about. Keep it up, it’s entertaining!
