Spain is preparing for OT’s highly anticipated Gala Eurovisión — which will determine just which OT 2018 star and song will be representing their home country in Tel Aviv. A few days ago, RTVE revealed the online results of each competing song and the final line-up with all ten competing acts.

While the songs will be released in full-length just two days before the show, you can already get an impression of each track by listening to the snippets.

This final gala will include Carlos Right, Famous, Julia, María, Marilia, Miki, Miki & Natalia, Natalia, Noelia and Sabela. Unfortunately several acts have missed out. We won’t be seeing Alba Reche, Damion, Joan Garrido and Marta at the gala.

Together with the full line-up, RTVE has released some information about the composers of the songs. There are several familiar faces — including David Feito and Juan Suárez, who are two-thirds of Eurovision 2013 representative for Spain El Sueño de Morfeo. They are amongst the composers of “Muérdeme”, the Latin hit that María is singing.

Below you can listen to all of their clips, then vote in our poll for your favourites. You can vote for as many songs as you’d like, but you can only vote one time.

I am disgusted by your comment. Sexism shouldn’t be allowed by wiwi moderators.

This doesn’t even make sense. And I don’t mean the misspelling of ‘prostitution’.

Let’s see… I think that many of these songs will sound much better after the revamps and also with the singers bringing them to the stage. The 1min previews was a messy idea, because actually there are some pretty decent catchy songs and even some of the ballads have potential to become a great entry with the right production. I know eveybody is quite hard on Spain from the start, but really, this selection is not bad at all

Muerdeme – Catchy and sassy, this could be the Spanish version of Fuego. What I really like is how the woman in the song is both in control and shamelessly offering. I would like to hear a variation in the second part of the song to make it less repetitive. La clave – Even more than Muerdeme, it may go in the repetitive area because it’s hook is merely few words and a beat. It’s a strong hook, though, but it should avoid being too campy and go straight for sexy. La venda – Very catchy and could bring some… Read more »

Sabela’s is really is the dark horse. I agree with you.
Carlos song is so pleasent, and selfish to say and ask the spanish people to vote for him, so morat could be in the eurovision. Yes i am selfish ! Yes i am a fan.:)

the first rule of Eurovision: never try the same thing that was successful last year (”Muerdeme” comparison to ”Fuego”)

Tbh Muerdeme is not like Fuego that much, everyone assumes that all upbeat female songs are “Fuego copies” which some are but not all are, like this. Plus, this being in Spanish will easily give it that individual quality that the other “bops” don’t have

I haven’t really followed OT much. These songs are not a great bunch, all a bit/lot overproduced and the live performances should sort the wheat from the chaff, but based on the snippets the only one with a chance of breaking into the top ten (well, top twenty) is ‘Todo Bien’.

Was there really any point making this poll? We all know who the winner was gonna be… Even though Muerdeme is the most mediocre stereotypical spanish song you can get with a singer who can barely hold a tune live. I’m rooting for Carlos Right and Famous but I feel it’s a losing battle at this stage now…

I’m between Maria and Famous. Famous has this good radio friendly song with the catchy chorus and he’s so talented. On the other hand, you have an up beat song with spanish vibes, making you stand up and start dancing. I don’t know what Spain needs right now. I’m looking forward to the live performances at the Gala.

This selection kinda truly sounds like what we can hear on Spanish radios, but that’s not a compliment. It’s stuck in 2004, without any logic nor style diversity and, well, the only listenable song “Muérdeme” is awarded to the weakest singer who already said she’s not really interested into the contest.

Spain, France is delighted to give you for years and years its semi-temporary spot of last years (bef. 2016) in the Bottom 5.

But why did they give the best song to someone that doesn‘t want to go anyway???

And still, they haven’t released the full versions of the songs. I just don’t get it. Anyway, at this point I think that I support “Le venda”, because Maria has already said that she’s not interested in Eurovision and that she’s unhappy with the host country. I mean what’s the point of choosing her if she’s not happy about it!? Btw, Sabela’s ballad sounds good too. But I need to hear more. Good luck!

The whole format is a mess, the worst format for any national final! Muérdeme is the strongest song, given to the weakest singer! What logic RTVE have!

Not certain if muerdeme is the way to go for spain in a year where in everyone wants to send a pop banger like eleni foureira or netta from last year.

I seriously think La Venda is by far the best choice, but Muerdeme would be okay with me. (My 2nd pick would be “hoy sonare” tho) The problem is, that both Miki and Maria are weak singers, so I hope it’s not gonna be Noelia. She’s an amazing singer, but the song is just terribly forgettable.

A song of alex ubago is not forgettable.
Noelia with her singing and performing, she will nail it. I trust her with my eyes closed. Same as sabela and julia – no doubt at all!!!!

Noelia can do top 15, but only if the juries get on board. When the televote only ranked Pastora Soler and Ruth Lorenzo as 17th and 15th respectively, we know what to expect.

Please Spain don’t send Muerdeme ! It will get lost in the ESC final and you will end at the bottom again…

I fully support muerdeme, but I have the feeling she won’t win.

I feel like she’ll come lower in the jury ranking and win the televote and the person who wins the jury vote will go (which will not be maria).

Maria will come 2nd or lower, sadly. I just can’t see Spain sending this bop.
