Yesterday the BBC revealed the six entries that would be competing in national final Eurovision: You Decide 2019. The selection includes three different songs, each performed in two ways by a total of six singers.

We want to know what you think — but we’re taking a cue from the voting format of Eurovision: You Decide.

First up, there will be duels between the two versions of each song — just like the BBC’s “song-off” that will be held during the national final.

The most popular version of each song will then go on to a second Wiwi Poll, where you’ll get to decide which of the three you’d like to see win.

You can only vote for one song per pair and you can only vote once in each duel — so make your vote count!

“Bigger than Us” – Michael Rice vs Holly Tandy

[polldaddy poll=10221324]

“Freaks” – Jordan Clarke vs MAID

[polldaddy poll=10221325]

“Sweet Lies” – Kerrie-Anne vs Anisa

[polldaddy poll=10221326]

What do you think? What are your favourite versions of each song? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below!

Freaks by Jordan Clarke is brilliant,and will do well if the visual performance is strong.

Kerrie-Anne for me… BUT.

I’m getting so bored of the You Decide format. Why can’t we just pick a singer internally and then choose the song, like we used to? Then it would be about the song, and not a misinformed popularity contest.

only songs that could help us are Kerrie Anne or Michael, if not I don’t now how else we can get to the left hand side of the scoreboard or even win lmao

I’m sorry, but those songs are as bland as ever. They’re like drinking water when you think you’re eating soup. They are tasteless and neither of them will win the contest.

Jordan’s version was my instant favourite on a first listen, which has to be an important factor in this contest, and l like his jubilant rendition even more second time. I like both versions of Sweet Lies, but Anisa’s ballad style might garner more votes. To me, Bigger than Us is simply a big yawn, very repetitive and going no where after the first 30 seconds. I much prefer the country version presented by Holly. Given my skill for picking winners this probably means Michael’s version will be picked and we’ll need another stage invader to keep everyone awake, but… Read more »

I really hope that we start sending risks and coming out of her comfort zone, cause although a ballad is great, imagine how great Kerrie-Anne could be in Israel with the right staging and revamp. if not her, Michael is the only other one I see delivering, the rest are ok

Holly Tandy’s Bigger Than Us is the single decent option from the 6 of them. If not her, then at least Anisa’s Sweet Lies. But honestly it’s a real shame to present with smth like this after rejecting JOWST’s Everybody Knows. It was better than all these ones at the same time.

Bigger than Us : I’m feeling Michael Rice’s ballad a tad more than Holly Tandy’s version. But I don’t mind either. Freaks: Jordan Clark over Maid, definitely. Jordan’s version is a bop. Maid is unique but feels a little too creepy for my taste. Sweet Lies: I was feeling Kerrie Anne’s dance version of the song more than Anisa’s ballad. Out of all options right now (without hearing any of the versions live but assuming they all nail it): 1) Freaks – Jordan Clark 2) Bigger Than Us – Michael Rice 3) Sweet Lies – Kerrie Anne 4/5) Holly/Anisa (with… Read more »

There is potential with either Kerrie-Anne or Michael Rice but, they will have to revamp the song in order to have any impact in Israel.
However in my personal opinion I think its time that the BBC give the rights of UK participation in ESC to ITV.

So the polls say it’s Kerrie-Anne for the win, yes?
Of course they could be telling me lies… be telling me sweet sweet lies… ah, darn it. Okay Kerrie-Anne, you win.

As a brit I’m gonna be more positive about the songs but I do see potential in some of these, it’s definitely going to be down to the live performances. I think Kerrie Anne might flop like Asanda but hopefully not, I think Jordan will surprise and (although terrible lyrics) I’m a fan of the song. I also see the potential in Michael as I know he has a killer voice which could lead to a result similar to that of Lucie in 2017. Overall, it’s between Kellie Anne, Jordan and Michael

They’re all pretty bad but Kerrie-Anne is the only one I kinda like. “Freaks” is just a terrible song on its own so regardless I hate both of the versions, Holly Tandy’s version of “Bigger than Us” just comes across as bland, and Anisa’s version of “Sweet Lies” is dated. Michael Rice’s “Bigger than Us” isn’t bad and would be my second choice, but Kerrie-Anne is definitely superior.

They are all pretty average. There are no bad songs. But none of them are very good. I can’t see any of these songs standing out in the real contest so it’ll be another bottom 5 result for the UK. Maybe Michael Rice with “Bigger than us” can do well with jury if he’ll pull that off live.

Jowst was rejected because he broke the rules , you are only allowed to send one song and Jowst sent three

Kerrie-Anne, Jordan and Holly for me. I like Michael’s version too, but I guess Holly’s is a bit more special for me. Not a popular opinion, I know. Prediction: Michael, Jordan and Kerrie-Anne win the duels. I can honestly see any of them win the show with a good performance.

Kerrie-Anne is the definite winner from this selection overall
Also, Jordan’s voice is really good; Too bad he got this song…

1. Michael Rice;
2. Jordan Clarke;
3. Kerrie-Anne;

Just send Jordan to Tel Aviv. The lyrics are meaningful, the melody is catchy and with a good performance he can really deliver. Kerrie-Anne would be my second option. She’s flawless, but her version of the song reminds me too much of Surie… I mean, we’ve already seen it, it’s nothing new. On the other hand, it could really work.

1: Michael Roce
2: Jordan Clarke
3: Kerri-Anne

In the next round I would choose Jordan Clarke to represent the UK. It isn’t outstanding, but none of them are. At least the lyrics aren’t that simple. I can’t unheard that Pachelbel’s Canon harmony in the instrumental though.

Yeah Anisa’s probably my favourite of the six, and it has a lot of potential live if she has the vocals, people have said it’s dated R&B but I think if she delivers it will be Ariana Grande, Camilla Cabello vibes.

Same, Holly ‘s song is the single one I liked somewhat. About the last one I don’t like the chorus, but Anisa’s version was obviously better.
