Miki Bilal Hasasani Jonida Maliqi

His Destination Eurovision victory last night, takes the number of confirmed entries for Tel Aviv to three. But is France’s Bilal Hassani and “Roi” your favourite Eurovision 2019 act so far? Can he knock Spain’s Miki off the top spot? Or can Albania’s Jonida Maliqi rally her fans and zip past the gents?

It’s time to vote!

You can listen to “Roi” and watch our video reaction below. Then vote in our poll. Choose wisely, you can only vote ONE time. And be quick! Voting ends early on Monday morning, 28 January — just ahead of the Czech reveal.

We will then relaunch the poll to include the successful Czech entry.

Bilal Hassani “Roi”

The sophomore season of France’s Destination Eurovision concluded last night with Bilal Hassani  taking victory. His Madame Monsieur penned “Roi” only received mixed scores from the international jury, but he reigned supreme over the televote. A massive score of 150 points ultimately saw him win the selection with ease. Will international viewers be just as enamored with the androgynous teen idol?

Who is your favourite Eurovision 2019 act so far?

The good news: The new music video of Emmanuel’s “La promesse” is online, very good, with the choreography of “Destination Eurovision”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74qdErCeq_Q The bad news: Bilal is in turmoil in France. On the one hand idiots who don’t like him have spread on the net fake tweets in which the boy would have made comments against Israel (but it has been proven that these tweets are fake, I specify). The second bad news is that someone else has exhumed a video (true by cons) where Bilal, who was younger at the time, made fun of the attacks in France. It… Read more »

I have to say that this picture of Bilal is very beautiful and sexy. The hands with glitter, arms posing behind the head and back. Roi written in the face. Pure beauty <3

I like very much the spanish song . Miki will have not many votes from professional jury but a lot from televoting. Here many people hate these songs but we still will have to listen worse songs…If these songs had been the entrys from Sweden, Russia etc many “courtiers” would have been talking about masterpieces…

You underestimate Bilal fans and spanish Eurovision fans.. I voted for Albania even if I do not like any of the songs. Just because I knew Spain and France would have more votes anyway..

I’m confused. Wiwibloggs fans wanted Bilal to win Destination Eurovision. Now they hate it. Seems legit.

We have an expression for that in France , “brûler ce qu’on a adoré” : “to burn what we loved” (what is “funny” is that it dates from the baptism of our first King, Clovis). being super popular turns against you the day that those who loved you find an excuse to hate you (obviously the nicknames “fans” here only liked Bilal if he ended up second behind Simorose …) I think that Another example is football. The coach brings back the cup, it is a hero, if he loses in the final the next time the so-called supporters want… Read more »

In my book, no competition for Albania so far. Though I think “Roi” is a better song than “La Venda”, Miki sold me his entry like Bilal hasn’t been able to do yet, so I’ll put Spain in second place.

Even if with only three candidates I find that it is a little early to make predictions when we know the number that is waiting behind, I will try an objective choice: 1) Jonida Maliki. Even if I could only see the version “lyrics video”, it is a very powerful song and planing, which leads you into another universe, as was “1944”. And we feel that she is a singer with a strong vocal technique. The world music side can please. Let’s add that it’s a pretty woman, and even if one would say “the physical does not matter” …… Read more »

Albania has a very strong vocal performance, something that can be appreciated by music professionals so it could be a repeat of Albania last year or Albania 2012 and have a large jury vote. I just hope that it isn’t seriously underappreciated by the public. The song takes me to a different dimension.

01. France
02. Albania
03. Spain

None of them are great in my book, and despite being such a charismatic singer Spain is likely going to be bottom 5, depending on how it does on the televote internationally France may join them or even get on the left hand side/top ten. Albania I don’t see getting out of the semi-final unless they have a knock-out revamp and something in their staging that helps it stick.

None of these songs will be in top 10 in May, but i can aprcciate all of them for different reasons ,Albania for an amazing vocal, Spain for joyful vibe and energy, and France for very charismatic performer, i dont get all the hate here, maybe these songs are not the best but its not bad at all:)

lol I’m seeing a lot of Bilal fans saying, via social networks, that if we say bad things about him is because we are racists or homophobics and this is bullying. Please, stop playing the victim card, it doesn’t work.

hey wiwi team. First of all thanks for all the work u do 🙂

From this 3 entries, Spain is the only one that has likeability during the performance and that in my opinion is key to succeed, and when i say succeed isn’t winning…cause none will do it!

Wiwi team, please review the songs that were already release competting in the national selections from the others countries apart from Uk and Sweden, cause u know, not all is about them xD

Thanks 🙂

1. Albania (8.5/10): This song gives me Albanian vibes and the singer is just magnificent. I love the darker sounds and I believe it will really stand out from other entries! But seriously, drop that dress though :p Good job, Albania! 2. Spain (6.5/10): Nice party entry, if staged well could be a hit for the public vote! I can’t see it doing well with the juries, but who knows! Not a winning song, but will do better than bottom 5. 3. France (4/10): The song isn’t for me and neither is the stage show.
