Swedish Idol is known as being a source of successful Melodifestivalen acts, but now we could be looking at a double. Former Idol stars Hanna Ferm and Liamoo have won tonight’s Melodifestivalklubben audience exit poll, suggesting they’ll be heading direkt till final after Saturday night’s semi-final.

The fan club polls the audience as they’re leaving the arena following Friday evening’s dress rehearsal. It’s proven to be a pretty handy guide to who could be in line to advance in the actual result.

Last week’s poll managed to not just predict the direct qualifiers and the andra chansen acts, it also accurately predicted the order in which the bottom three acts would place.

Hanna Ferm and Liamoo topped the poll this week. Their romantic ballad “Hold You” picked up 425 votes — that’s 39.94% of all votes cast, and the largest percentage by far. All going well, they will be one of the two acts to directly qualify for the grand final.

Coming in second was Melfest veteran Andreas Johnson. His song “Army of Us”  earned 204 votes giving him 19.17%. This suggests that Andreas may be the second act to go direkt till final.

Polish popstress Margaret was in third place. Her lively song “Tempo” picked up 166 votes with 15.6% of the vote. This suggests that Margaret may be again be headed to the andra chansen round.

Popular YouTuber Vlad Reiser was fourth with his song “Nakna i regnet”. It picked up 111 votes and gave him 10.43% of the vote. This suggests Vlad will be getting “naked in the rain” in andra chansen.

According to the poll, newcomver Malou Prytz, former FO&O singer Oscar Enestad and veteran performer Jan Malmsjö will all be eliminated.

Melodifestivalklubben audience poll results – Melodifestivalen 2019 semi-final 2 Malmö

  1. Hanna Ferm & Liamoo – “Hold You” 425 votes (39.94%)
  2. Andreas Johnson – “Army of Us” 204 votes (19.17%)
  3. Margaret – “Tempo” 166 votes (15.6%)
  4. Vlad Reiser – “Nakna i Regnet” 111 votes (10.43%)
  5. Malou Prytz – “I Do Me” 96 votes (9.02%)
  6. Oscar Enestad – “I Love It” 36 votes (3.38%)
  7. Jan Malmsjö – “Leva Livet” 26 votes (2.44%)

Of course, with such a small sample size, there’s no way of telling if this audience poll will play out correctly.

While last week’s predictions were accurate, in previous years the audience poll hasn’t always got it right. Last year the poll infamously placed FELIX SANDMAN second-to-last in his heat. Of course, he went on to finish runner-up to Benjamin Ingrosso while also spending several weeks atop the Swedish charts.

Nonetheless — it’s a spot of fun and has proven generally correct in the past.

Thats my prediction, though I don’t expected so much support towards Hanna Ferm and Liamoo. People may have seen something I’m missing.

Liamoo & Hanna for me one of most overrated song in last few years at MF. With them Sweden will have strongto be out of TOP 10 in final (first time after 2013 and second time from 2011). With juries from 4 to 8 place, with televote from 14 to 18 place in final.

Well we haven’t seen everything yet.. have we? I never thought Azerbaijan would win in 2011 either.. I guess a nice duet ia a nice duet. I think this song is much better than Running scared and the vocals seem much better too. It also depends on what the other countries send to make some kind of a prediction.

Azerbaijan cheated, that’s how they won. A traditional duet between man & woman has never won the contest (fairly).

I love Liamoo & Hanna, their song reminds me of Dusk Till Dawn a little bit, their chemistry is great and the vocals are also really good.

It’s going to get interesting to see the result. But Hanna and Liamoo I would say are pretty safe after reading so many good things about them. Except for that plastic that gets stuck in their faces..

Liamoo & Hanna’s song sounded like The Chainsmokers’ “Don’t let me down”

I do think Hanna and LIAMOO will win this semi but I can’t see Oscar not even making it to the second round of voting. He surely will at least make it to AC. Didn’t expect Andreas to be this popular but this is his best Melodifestivalen entry ever so not surprising. Margaret I think is pretty accurately placed.

I think Oscar was holding back on his rehearsals. If he sings like on the snippet though I doubt he will be more than an AC qualifier. Understand how he is only 6th here. Doubt Vlad will qualify, do not think he has enough youtube clout for that. He also comes off as a bit of brat (just my opinion). Hanna/Liamoo is probably the winner of this heat.

The audience poll was right last time, will it be wrong tomorrow? Something tells me it might be but I guess we’ll find out soon enough! 🙂

This bodes well for Andreas. Entry number seven proved lucky for Sanna Nielsen, I hope Army of Us has the same effect for Andreas. I would be sad to see Jan place last – it just seems a little cruel. C’mon, let him get to at least the top 5.

Yeah, don’t think that poll is going to end up being right.

Hmm. Oscar seems to get the Felix Sandman treatment in the polls?
I feel like this could be the first pool to diverge from the actual result.
