Poll results: The Middletonz are your favourites in tonight’s A Dal semi-final

Hungary’s national selection is back this year with some new jury members and a fresh A Dal design. After the first three heats, tonight it’s time for Hungary to decide on their first four finalists during semi final 1 of A Dal 2019. In our Wiwi poll you decided who they should be.

We asked you to vote for your favourite acts ahead of tonight’s show and after receiving over 1,200 votes we can now reveal The Middletonz are your winners. 2014 Hungarian Eurovision representative András Kállay-Saunders collaborates with Iranian-dutch singer Slashkovic. And you seem to love the current, fresh sound of ‘Roses’! With a total of 379 votes they received 31% of the ballot. Will they make it to Tel Aviv? It’s up to Hungary (and the four judges of, course).

Last years’ finalists yesyes made it to second place. Their song ‘Incomplete’ wasn’t a favourite of the jury in their heat two weeks ago. Will they make it to the final even if they don’t get love from Mikós, Lilla, Feró and Misi? If it was up to you, they clearly would — they received 26% of your votes.

There is a huge gap between your top two and the other entries of A dal’s semi final 1.

Similar to yesyes, DENIZ also made it to the semi final stage only by getting enough televotes. They did not impress the jury that much. You want to see them in the final though with their smooth-sounding ‘Ide Várnak Vissza’. It received a total of 10% of your votes.

Acoustic Planet round out the top 4, collecting 8% of the votes. It’s not that unlikely they’ll make it to the final since the judges already loved their first appearance in heat 2. Will they sing about their summer rain (that’s what ‘Nyári zápor’ means) in the final?

Only 6 points behind Acoustic Planet we can find USNK. The X Factor 8 winners topped last week’s televote. The music video of their A dal entry even counts over 7 million views(!). Hungary have sent a different genre to Eurovision every year since their comeback in 2011, so is it time for some trap from Hungary this time?

Since A Dal started in 2012, the jury has tended to make controversial decisions. Most recently they eliminated fan favourites Leander Kills. With this years’ jury having very special taste again, we can be prepared for some shocking decisions and exciting results.
