It’s the process for selecting the Georgian representative for Eurovision 2019. And now things are getting very real on Georgian Idol, as the eliminations continue…all building up to the song selection and finale.
We now know the semi-finalists. The latest act to fall? Tamar Lachkepiani. She was in the bottom two alongside Nini Tsnobiladze, while Liza Kalandadze led the results for the second time. Liza topped the table with 33.03% of the 93,631 votes. One of the huge favourites of the contest, Oto Nemsadze, came second again with 23.90% of the vote. The public is able to vote for their favourite via both telephone voting as well as through the Facebook Messenger app.
During the latest show we learned that producers will send a song in the Georgian language. As you’ll remember, four finalists will perform one song each in the final on March 2nd. Before that you can take a look at the performances from the most recent show, where each act performed songs by Georgian composers.
