We’re on the verge of another weekend packed with national finals. But before five more countries crown their champions, its time for France’s Bilal Hassani to celebrate. The “Roi” singer is your favourite Eurovision 2019 act so far.
After hearing the call on social media, fans of the bewigged popstar showed up in force. He received 5,988 votes or 25.11% of all votes. And the French weren’t the only ones on the online campaign trail.
Fresh from his Dora triumph, Roko flies straight in at two. Jacques Houdek’s protegee attracted 4,624 votes for “The Dream”.
In third, we have last week’s poll topper — Italy’s Mahmood with “Soldi”. He picked up 3,841 votes, just slightly less than his previous tally of 3,936.

Welcome to Arabvision! Egypt 2020
Europe is officiall dead.
Allez Bilal, fracasse tout, cette année c’est pour nous ! 2018 Champions du monde, 2019 victoire à l’Eurovision !
Tant pis pour les rageux.
This time Croatia will win , France will be the second.
Go go go Bilal !!!! Go France !!!!
Just another manifestation of the bad taste this community is known for. When are you all grow out of the cheese and get a taste for really good music?
The day you post an intelligent and interesting analysis, I suppose.
Meanwhile, Russia, not France or Croatia, is still the number one favorite of the bookmakers. Followed by Sweden. And let’s not forget about Portugal and keep an eye on Ukraine. The true winner is yet to be announced although I would love for Italy to win.
Yes, and don’t forget Belgium and the Netherlands….
Ukraine ain’t winning anything this year.
Same thing every year, I think. Most loved songs are the ones that aren’t released yet lol.
Russia’s song isn’t even released and yet in the tops already?? Amazing.
Mahmood will win only because of political reason, we all know that. He only get 14 % italian votes on Sanremo and must win. Because Europe must be multicultural. Song is not important, his song and voice is really bad.
What a stupid remark
No that is the true, if this guy wasnt muslim and gay nobody will vote for him, because this song is not good and we all know that. First time that Sanremo didnt put live performance on youtube because this guy dont have voice at all.
“we all know that”
@Vanessa
LOL speak for yourself you salty b****!! He’s currently the favorite among the ESC fandom because his song is simply the best out of the selected bunch, not because of his sexual orientation and ethnic background.
You are very cultural. Do you know that only 14% vote he get on Sanremo from people, he win only because politic reason to Italy represent as multicultural nation, but this is not true. All this is is shit like this song.
@Vanessa
How much did you get paid to write lies?
What she lies? Did you watch Sanremo?
@Ccc
Where’s the proof that says Mahmood won Sanremo only because of his religion/ethnic background/sexual orientation?
NO PROOF = LIES
The proof is if people give you only 14% of votes and you win at the end, this is the proof. All of you just reapet Mahmood is the best, but tell me what is good in that song? Nobody can sing that, where is melody. Lyrics about his relationship with Egyptan father (who drink as muslim), and reapiting money money
@Ccc
I want an ACTUAL PROOF, not some IDIOTIC MADE-UP CONSPIRACIES.
Italy is currently the favorite among the ESC fandom. Just because the song is bad to you doesn’t mean it’s the same to the international ESC fans.
You better STFU if you can’t give me a single evident that shows Mahmood won only because of his background.
Read Italian newspapers if you want the truth. Ultimo was better (47% from people on sanremo) and he has more listening on Youtube , Il Volo get 40% votes from people but because of some political reason muslim must win. And ESC fans like him because they like muslims.
@Ccc Ultimo and Il Volo received more votes from the televote due to their large fanbase, not because of THEIR SONGS!! Why would ESC fans care about him being a Muslim in a f**king song contest? They liked the song. As simple as that. It seems like you are some kind of an inbred id**t who was born without brain. It’s a shame that your mother gave birth to a ret**d like you. Give me an actual valid proof that shows Mahmood won because of his background. The link you gave me is basically the same idiotic made-up conspiracies you… Read more »
https://www.euronews.com/2019/02/11/controversy-sparked-as-italian-egyptian-wins-italy-s-sanremo-song-contest
Like you see if you read this text , this is not italian, this is morroco song. So Morroco or Egypt will win, not Italy.
Just because you find the song bad doesn’t mean we all do. Obviously “Soldi” is loved by many people across Europe and the world. Yes, he got low in the tele-vote, but the juries still loved the song and they are the musical professionals. It’s people like you that ruin Eurovision trying to make it all political. Get some help and stop making everyone’s decisions for them
Why are you writing so many lies? He was even an altar boy in the church! Note that for me it’s absolute fine if he is muslim, christian or atheist… but I’m really fed up with people spreading lies about him.
meh
Amen.
Gay and Muslim? The gay euro-fan realm is in euphoria! (Pun intended) the winner has been chosen!
Luckily for us, I’m hoping for a 2016 result – fans vote, but juries balance.
Idan, he is not a muslim, he said that in 1000 interviews. But there are people like Vanessa who keep saying lies about him since he won Sanremo. Honestly I’m very sorry for the hate he is receiving from many Italians.
But the truth is that he win only because of political reason, he had only 14% votes from people. And everybody talks about how is he half Egyptian, if this is not metter why must talk about that??? And why Sanremo dont put his live performance on Youtube, because it is bad.
I didn’t even know he is gay? I just like the song but I agree he’s vocally not that great.
1. Slovenia
2. Italy
3. Albania
Roko is the best, amazing voice. Go Croatia, repeat World Cup but now beat France in final
France getting higher on the poll each time and I seriously doubt it’s because the song is a grower.
If the final result is either Croatia or France in Top 2, then Eurovision is officially dead and irrelevant.
This is your opinion , but you will see
You guys do realize that nothing here represents the real world? This goes both ways – both for the poll and everyone here who is in love with Italy or Slovenia. I think about the average viewer who casually pays attention to the songs and votes – they are nothing like anyone here. I don’t think the top 5 songs have been released yet.
It’s pointless to vote here when crazy fan groups always hijack the vote.
Croatia second? This got to be a joke, right? Horrendous.
You are joke
Not mine
While the 2018 edition was a full fun edition for audiences, this year morphs to be more of a jury-heavy competition, which is in turn more serious. It might be the effect of the host country, but I can’t conclude on that.
Why? In the last year Israel sent more upbeat televoter friendly songs. I actually predicted that after netta won last year, we would see crazier more creative acts, but this edition is a very eurovision-y edition.
I wonder.
I’m sure Croatia will be first in the next poll! On a side note, how come every NS gets in-depth coverage about every separate song, collective wiwi jury impressions, top-3’s and stuff and Vidbir, which is imho, the most entertaining NS of the season, got literally Zero coverage when the final is already today. I suppose the budget is in the north, huh.
Bilal being in the lead is fine, although Roi is not my fave…but how on Earth is Croatia in second? Sorry, no. Next.
Bilal and Roco are the best , yesss go young people vote for them
I am a part of lgbt, but what is happening now has come to an end, and that minorities like us are becoming increasingly inexpensive because of such cheap attempts in music that should be promoted with big money. In short, because of such performances I was personally ashamed of being a part of that community because it came to promotion rather than to music. It’s terrible, because it’s had to be a favorit just because it supports the community.
Music disappears more and more and I’m really surprised with so many bad songs this year.
I am always surprised by the obsession of Eurofans with the sexual orientation of artists. Neither Bilal Hassani nor Mahmood talked about it in their songs or on television.
Just one question: do other contestants use pigeons to communicate? It seems to me no, they are all on social networks and they all have a fan base. It’s ridiculous to accuse Bilal supporters of trolling the poll: compared to previous weeks, more songs have been proposed in the poll (since new songs have been confirmed) and there are also more voters. If the vote had been rigged, Bilal would have been the first from the beginning, when we only knew four or five songs. It may be hard for you to admit that, from weeks to weeks, he has… Read more »
I wouldn’t call it “rigging”, but it’s obvious that some acts are better at mobilizing their social media following (Bilal is a YouTube star after all, he has close to 1 million followers so it’s easy for him). Let’s be realistic for 2 seconds: that horror from Croatia will crash out at the bottom of the semi-final, there’s no way it deserves a 2nd place.
This poll is just for fun anyway, doesn’t matter. But let’s not put our heads in the sand and pretend we don’t see the obvious please.
Agree not a realistic poll.At the moment Italy is my favourite and with 26millon view on YouTube it will be a hit whatever happens in Tel Aviv.
Think Slovenia’s song would do well with jury as they like atmospheric songs, but but am not sure it will even qualify very much love it or hate it song.
not really relevant whats on youtube … if you remember well … was same with Italy in 2017 i think … Francesco Gabbani – Occidentali’s Karma had around 70 millions view on youtube and was big favorite to win …. and everyone know what happened …
“Everyone know what happened”… Yeah Italy placed 6th, a place that most countries can only dream of. 😉
And since when is 6th the winning position ? That song was big favorite to win the competition … even bigger than is Italy this year … so it’s not relevant the number of views or the bookmakers odd …
She said “it will be a hit whatever happens in Tel Aviv.” Soldi is a hit, Occidentali’s Karma was a hit. Francesco didn’t win, but he became very successful after Sanremo and ESC 2017.
another LGBT for the win … this competition is not about music anymore .. it’s about how hard we can promote LGBT in world … 80% from jury is part of LGBT community … I have nothing against LGBT but please bring back the music contest … leave behind promoting something else …
LGBT <3 <3 <3
Don' t like it, don't watch it
Seriously ? check Eurovision before 2010 …. just because it’s different now doesnt mean i have to agree with this chances ?!
one lgbtq person winning eurovision this past decade = too much lgbtq propaganda apparently, lmfao
Look, if you don’t appreciate LGBT representation even if you “have nothing against LGBT” you shouldn’t watch Eurovision. ESC has grown into a platform of tolerance, and that is what matters.
are you ret4rded ? Since when Eurovision belong to LGBT community ? you can’t decide on my behalf what i suppose or not suppose to see … f0ck off
What is wrong with you?
Do you speak english?
So far your tolerance… I really don’t know what to say to that. You are this community unworthy.
Neither Bilal Hassani nor Mahmood mentioned their sexual orientation in their songs or on television. You’re just obsessed with it.
But we know they are gay, also little Roko is gay
Italy is my absolute favorite so far. Slovenia is a nice surprise although I think they should do some revamp and make this beautiful song more mysterious and dark. It reminds me of the work of the mostly 90’s band Enigma.
SPAIN ITALY AUSTRALI/SLOVENIA TOP 3
In my opinion i would take france and croatia away from this poll and then we would have the real top 3….italy spain and slovenia
Yes, everyone should remove the songs they don’t like to have an objective ranking, lol.
Spain ,italy , australia THE BEST
I would take france and croatia away from this joke poll and then we would have THE REAL top3….italy spain and slovenia
The best is yet to come guys! Or at least I hope so!
ok after this i’ll stop enter to this blog.
I am just waiting Jacques to copy this link to his facebook profile. -.-” I am Croatian and dont think our song deserves top2. of course the poll is robbed. Sorry French, but your song is bottom 3 on my top. I think Albania, Slovenia and Australia are the best. I like UK, Spain too. But Albania *.*
I’m Croatian too and I agree 100%.Jacques reached the bottom.
Hahahaha. Croatia is 2nd. Sure thing. I didn’t know it was April first. Croatia is my least favourite entry so far and it gives me a headache when I hear it
Italie il a une super classe et serguei n’a pas encore sorti sa chanson
sure jan
I am VERY glad that Italy, Slovenia and Albania hold the top 3 positions of this poll. It is also exactly my personal top-3, but in a different order (1.SLO 2.ALB 3.ITA).
😀
HAHAHA! Nice try, nice try.
France first? Croatia second?
Okay guys who’s trolling??
So far, only Slovenia impressed me.
There are some good songs in there (Italy, Croatia, Estonia f.e.) but none of them grabbed me like ZalaGasper.
But overall, I still believe that the winner is yet to come.
Anyway who cares, the deluded french fanbase of Bilal will not be able to vote for him in may.
Watch them drive to a different country just to vote or something
As much as I love The Dream, I can’t believe it came 2nd xDDD
Anyway, I think the winner of 2019 is yet to be released, quite a weak year so far
Also, Italy will definitely do better than both France and Croatia this year
This year has been weird for me, like, I just don’t seem to like any act. Nothing makes me feel like yayyyyyy. Last year it was Eleni that made me dance my heart away, France was so good, I still listen to Merci and sing along to it, all the Netta craziness was so much fun, then there was the Ukranian vampire kid and so on. But this year, I don’t know, everything’s just been ‘meh’ so far. But we’ll see. It might change.
I’m so glad you included Melovin in there, this is 100% why I love Eurovision xD.
Don’t despair though, only 1/3 of acts selected so far!
I feel quite the same. And I’m starting to think 2018 won’t be beaten for a long long time.
I read so many people writing that 2018 was an awful year and that 2016 was so much better…
Mélovin is a very talented young man. I don’t like a lot “Under the ladder”, but ALL his other songs are AMAZING. I love him. “Ne odinokaya”, “Play this life”, “Wonder”, the last he released (I don’t know how to write it), “Unbroken”, “Hooligan”, AAAAAA
No great songs really. Hope better are to come.
Not my current one, for me, it currently between UK, Estonia & Spain (Still giving Italy time to grow on me)
Who is rigging the poll now? French? Spanish? Italian? Croatian? Everybody? LOL
voting=rigging
In between all this hate against wiwibloggs’ polls, I want to thank them for covering all the eurovision news. I’m greatfull there’s a place where I can be my true eurofan self. Thanks!
I dont understand people who insult Bilal , Roko. It’s not forbidden for them to ask to vote for this poll. As you know, this is only a poll, not the real contest. People shouldn’t get hate for a ridiculous thing such as a poll. They do what they want. Even without his fans, Bilal would still be around 4th/5th place so it’s still good.
Tbh I don’t really see anyone insulting Bilal personally here. The “worse” comments are those that just pinpoint that his voice isn’t so great (which I don’t think is inaccurate) or express annoyance at his fans. People are rightly frustrated that a wiwibloggs poll meant to show how wiwbloggs users would vote isn’t truly reflective of how we would.
Bilal can naturally do what he wants and share this poll but he and his fans can’t expect active wiwi users to just be happy with it. Not exactly how you win fans anyway.
seems like wiwibloggs is giving attention and promoting just some of the songs/countries!? I understand that it could be diffcult to cover everything….but it’s not fair to others!
yaaaas, Slovenia is second!! 😛
why are you all even still viewing the results of the poll and commenting stuff like “omg this is rigged” etc. It was clear that there’s no point of these polls many years ago and it is clear that nothing will be changed, no matter how hard you try
As i say before, dont blame Bilal, Roko or any others artists which ask to vote for them in the poll, nothing wrong with that.
Blame wiwiblogs and their inabilityto make a clear and unbiased poll.
Does “unbiased poll” mean “poll whose results correspond to my expectations”?
What is Croatia doing there? The song isn’t very strong… Neither is France this year… in my opinion Soldi is the strongest entry this year, by miles.
As you said correctly “…in your opinion”.
Maybe it’s time to start geolocalizing the votes and make it eurovision style? Cuz as it is now the poll has zero value other than exciting the haters…
