Fresh from his Dora triumph, Roko flies straight in at two. Jacques Houdek’s protegee attracted 4,624 votes for “The Dream”.

Meanwhile, Russia, not France or Croatia, is still the number one favorite of the bookmakers. Followed by Sweden. And let’s not forget about Portugal and keep an eye on Ukraine. The true winner is yet to be announced although I would love for Italy to win.

Mahmood will win only because of political reason, we all know that. He only get 14 % italian votes on Sanremo and must win. Because Europe must be multicultural. Song is not important, his song and voice is really bad.

Read Italian newspapers if you want the truth. Ultimo was better (47% from people on sanremo) and he has more listening on Youtube , Il Volo get 40% votes from people but because of some political reason muslim must win. And ESC fans like him because they like muslims.

@Ccc Ultimo and Il Volo received more votes from the televote due to their large fanbase, not because of THEIR SONGS!! Why would ESC fans care about him being a Muslim in a f**king song contest? Just because you find the song bad doesn’t mean we all do. Obviously “Soldi” is loved by many people across Europe and the world. Yes, he got low in the tele-vote, but the juries still loved the song and they are the musical professionals. It’s people like you that ruin Eurovision trying to make it all political. While the 2018 edition was a full fun edition for audiences, this year morphs to be more of a jury-heavy competition, which is in turn more serious. It might be the effect of the host country, but I can’t conclude on that.

Why? In the last year Israel sent more upbeat televoter friendly songs. I actually predicted that after netta won last year, we would see crazier more creative acts, but this edition is a very eurovision-y edition.

I wonder.

I’m sure Croatia will be first in the next poll! On a side note, how come every NS gets in-depth coverage about every separate song, collective wiwi jury impressions, top-3’s and stuff and Vidbir, which is imho, the most entertaining NS of the season, got literally Zero coverage when the final is already today. I suppose the budget is in the north, huh.

I am a part of lgbt, but what is happening now has come to an end, and that minorities like us are becoming increasingly inexpensive because of such cheap attempts in music that should be promoted with big money. In short, because of such performances I was personally ashamed of being a part of that community because it came to promotion rather than to music. It’s terrible, because it’s had to be a favorit just because it supports the community.
Music disappears more and more and I’m really surprised with so many bad songs this year.

Just one question: do other contestants use pigeons to communicate? It seems to me no, they are all on social networks and they all have a fan base. It’s ridiculous to accuse Bilal supporters of trolling the poll: compared to previous weeks, more songs have been proposed in the poll (since new songs have been confirmed) and there are also more voters. If the vote had been rigged, Bilal would have been the first from the beginning, when we only knew four or five songs. It may be hard for you to admit that, from weeks to weeks, he has… Read more »

I wouldn’t call it “rigging”, but it’s obvious that some acts are better at mobilizing their social media following (Bilal is a YouTube star after all, he has close to 1 million followers so it’s easy for him). Let’s be realistic for 2 seconds: that horror from Croatia will crash out at the bottom of the semi-final, there’s no way it deserves a 2nd place.

This poll is just for fun anyway, doesn’t matter. But let’s not put our heads in the sand and pretend we don’t see the obvious please.

I dont understand people who insult Bilal , Roko. It’s not forbidden for them to ask to vote for this poll. As you know, this is only a poll, not the real contest. People shouldn’t get hate for a ridiculous thing such as a poll. They do what they want. Even without his fans, Bilal would still be around 4th/5th place so it’s still good.

Lolek

Reply to  ThoE

Tbh I don’t really see anyone insulting Bilal personally here. The “worse” comments are those that just pinpoint that his voice isn’t so great (which I don’t think is inaccurate) or express annoyance at his fans. People are rightly frustrated that a wiwibloggs poll meant to show how wiwbloggs users would vote isn’t truly reflective of how we would.

Bilal can naturally do what he wants and share this poll but he and his fans can’t expect active wiwi users to just be happy with it. Not exactly how you win fans anyway.
