There’s a fire on the horizon and she’s the spark.

And if the audience for the Andra Chansen rehearsal are right, then Anna Bergendahl will be setting the final of Melodifestivalen 2019 ablaze.

That’s because she won tonight’s Andra Chansen audience poll in Nyköping. A total of 634 fans were surveyed as they left the show and 158 of them picked “Ashes To Ashes” as their favourite song of the night. That means Anna won 25% of all votes cast.

She’s closely followed by Arvingarna. The dreamy dansband received 124 votes or 19.5% of all cast tonight. Their score means the audience thinks they deserve to win Duel Number 4.

Third place went to vlogger Vlad Reiser. He’s the last act who made it into triple figures, winning 113 votes or 18% of the total.

And finally in fourth we find returning act Lisa Ajax. The “I Don’t Give A” hitmaker received 94 votes. That’s 15% of the total, which is 10% behind Anna but 7% clear of the fifth place act.

The top four results curiously align to the duel pairings.

Unlike the semi-finals, Andra Chansen is organised around a series of duels, where only one act out of the two duellists will advance to the final in Stockholm.

The bottom four acts were Nano with 8%Rebecka Karlsson on 5.5%, Martin Stenmarck on 5% and Andreas Johnson on 4%.

If the public have their way, those four acts will be knocked out in the duels and will not advance to the final at Friends Arena.

You can find full results from the Andra Chansen audience poll below:

  1. Anna Bergendahl – “Ashes To Ashes” (158 votes, 25%)
  2. Arvingarna – “I Do” (124 votes, 19.5%)
  3. Vlad Reiser – “Nakna i regnet” (113 votes, 18%)
  4. Lisa Ajax – “Torn” (94 votes, 15%)
  5. Nano – “Chasing Rivers” (53 votes, 8%)
  6. Rebecka Karlsson – “Who I Am” (36 votes, 5.5%)
  7. Martin Stenmarck – “Låt skiten brinna” (30 votes, 5%)
  8. Andreas Johnson – “Army Of Us” (26 votes, 4%)

In previous years, the poll has been problematic, as the poll simply asks people who their favourite was on the night.

However, tonight’s results neatly align with the duels, and may give some indication of how results will play out tomorrow night.

Andra Chansen will air live from 8:00pm CET on SVT1 and the running order for the final will be announced live on air.

I like her song, joyfull classic pop and interesting staging, wouldn’t mind if she wins whole thing.

Haven’t people heard any another “gospel” songs than Cesar’s? 😀 Songs are pretty different. Just same genre.

Come on, let’s keep our feet on the ground.

As much as I like Anna’s song and glad I am that she came back, the song has no chances against much better others in the final.
It’s more likely I am turning straight than she is winning Melodifestivalen.

Stop building castles in the sand.

She might qualify from Andra Chansen to final, where she will eventually take one of the last positions.

It’s between Mohombi and John Lundvik.

Best from Spain

last position? Her song was the most streamed and played song in February. She’s not going to come last in the final.

I’m not sure about them qualifying with Mohombi or Lundvik btw. I hate both songs.

Anna will do better than Mohombi. He wont even be near a win. He will be 5th or 6th, if not lower.
But Anna has already had the most air play of all MF songs, no way she will be last. Top 5 for sure

It would be nice if Anna represented Sweden, qualified, placed well in the final, and then put all the ghosts of 2010 behind her forever.

Greece’s on YouTube, and Russia’s on twitter (type #Eurovision on Twitter, it should be among the top). Although you can find both on Twitter.

Andreas doesn’t deserve last place. I’ve resigned myself to him missing out on the final, as I’m sure he himself has…I wish he wasn’t up against Anna. As far as I’m concerned, Army of Us deserves a spot in Friends Arena over at least five of these eight. A shame it’s not more popular.

I feel like Anna Bergendahl will be a major dark horse. Doing better than expected, even be candidate for the win.

Anna winning Melfest could literally be one of the few moments that would make-up for all the messes made by this year’s NFs. Sounds too good to actually be so.

Oh please, Nano is definitly not one of my Melfest favourites this year, but Vlad’s song is literally nothing. There’s nothing there. He can’t even sing…

You just described both songs IMO. Nano sounded and looked dreadful in the semi.

Again, I don’t love it, but at least I can see that people actually thought about the song before writing it…

Though I still think John Lundvik is winning this melfest, I think Anna has a strong chance of pulling a felix sandman and coming a close second or top 5 at the very least.

It’s still higher than nakna i regnet in the betting odds. But yeah, poor Nanos had a family member in an accident. I don’t think his head is all that in the game atm.

It’s true that helped him a lot. However he is lucky to have such a well produced song. Vocals aside his song is pretty catchy and radio friendly and not so hard to sing. Defs helped him out as well. Granted I still think Margaret should have qualified over him.

He’s against Nano who won the whole televoting in 2017.. I mean no underdog.
Whole Sweden is voting.. I don’t think anyone can rely on followers.
Both are well liked. And people just vote for what they like and enjoy.
