He was a backing vocalist for Nadav Guedj and Hovi Star, before stepping into the foreground for Eurovision 2017 in Kyiv with the club banger “I Feel Alive”. And now, IMRI is not only returning to his party roots for his next single, “Imrico”, he is also aiming international.

This new track is the Israeli stud’s first single since his Eurovision adventure. It’s a Caribbean affair sung in both Hebrew and Spanish. Who’s up for a fiesta?

IMRI – “Imrico”

IMRI himself is fluent in several languages, including Spanish, which he speaks with an Argentine accent owing to his past teachers. And that knowledge shows in “Imrico”.

A play on words with his name and “rico”, the Spanish word for “rich”, the sun-kissed single sees the Israeli singer balancing the two languages flawlessly. He ties Israel and Latin America into one to give us an iconic hit for the summer. No doubt it will get the party started during Eurovision week in Tel Aviv as well.

The video shows IMRI dancing the day and night away with friends and generally enjoying life across different areas of Eurovision 2019 host city Tel Aviv. This could give us a sneak peek of what Eurofans can expect in May. And we are so ready y’all!

ESPreParty Welcome Event

But IMRI’s Eurovision adventure isn’t over just yet. He’ll be hosting the welcome party for the Eurovision Spain Pre-Party Madrid in April (yes, there’s a pre-party for the pre-party).

No doubt this will be the ideal place to showcase his new single and return the love that the Spanish eurofans and media gave him in the lead-up and the aftermath of his Eurovision experience.

In addition to IMRI, the welcome party on Friday 19th April will see other former Eurovision stars take to the stage, including Vania Fernandes (Portugal 2008),  Alfred Garcia (Spain 2018) and Las Ketchup (Spain 2006). Norway’s Adelén, who competed in Melodi Grand Prix 2013, will also make an appearance.

Meanwhile, a number of this year’s Eurovision stars will be performing at the main event on Saturday 20th. So far, Micheal Rice (UK), Eliot (Belgium), Lake Malawi (Czech Republic), Jonida Maliqi (Albania), and of course home contestant Miki, have all been confirmed to be appearing.

Make sure to get your tickets for what will no doubt be an amazing event!

What do you think of IMRI’s latest track? Do you like when Eurovision stars dwell in Latin rhythms? Would you like for Imri to release more material in Spanish? Let us know in the comments below!

Also, “rico” isn’t only Spanish for rich, it’s also for hot like in “IMRI is so godd*mn hot”.

He can’t dance but that doesn’t matter because he is so easy on the eyes 🙂

I think I just figured out what’s holding IMRI back from becoming a real pop icon. The man can’t dance for the life of him. Which proves that being sexy and being a good dancer doesn’t always go together lol.

His song was pretty average but what he did with it on stage was marvelous. Sexy, lively, fun!

You’re so lucky! He’s gorgeous.
I hope he makes some kind of appearance at Eurovision in Tel Aviv, because I just NEED to see him again!

One of my favorite entries from Israel.

…up till now, he was only with women – that’s a fact. If he is gay then how come he is in relations with women ? Doesn’t make sense. Did you ever saw him with a man ?

He is a very very good friend of Hovi. If he was gay indeed, they would have been a couple. But Hovi is with someone else…if Imri was gay than Hovi’s friend was out of the picture. Doesn’t make sense to me. Bye the way, they released both songs together two days ago – Not a co-incident !!

I am gay but I have gay friends who I have no intention of dating, seems pretty homophobic to assume that all gays want to date eachother
