During last weekend’s Melodifestivalen final, Stockholm briefly became the hotspot of the Eurovision universe. And on the night before the final in Friends Arena, some former Melodifestivalen and other preselection artists took to the stage of the Melfest Pre-Party at the nightclub “Estelle”. They weren’t alone, as three Eurovision 2019 artists joined them: Bilal Hassani from France, KEiiNO from Norway and Leonora from Denmark.

Melfest Pre-Party Performances

Bilal Hassani from France performed his song “Roi” …and while wearing his signature platinum wig. He’s improved his performance vocally and has added some slick choreography. Speaking to wiwibloggs on Skype earlier this spring, he said a revamp is in the works. We can’t wait to hear it.

Norwegian trio KEiiNO turned the stage into a party space as they performed their Melodi Grand Prix-winning song “Spirit in the Sky”. The host asked if the group will win the contest in Tel Aviv. KEiiNO and the audience responded positively. Joik has never been so hot!

Leonara from Denmark started her performance of “Love is Forever” with an a cappella take to make sure that everyone could sing along with her. The whole room sang together and her love was for everyone.

Apart from this year’s participants, plenty of other Eurovision stars took the stage as well.

Finland’s Krista Siegfrids was busy hosting UMK last weekend. Bur she got some sleep and found the time for her fans in Stockholm, performing her Eurovision 2013 entry “Marry Me”, as well as her two Melfest songs “Snurra Min Jord” and “Faller”.

Another Finish performer was in the house: Emma Sandström, who placed 7th in San Marino’s preselection in 2018 and third in UMK 2017. She sang her song “Circle Of Light”.

Greta Zazza, the Lithuanian star who lives in Stockholm, sang her song “Like I Love You”, which went to the final of Lithuania’s preselection Eurovizijos in 2017.

Sweden’s own six-time Melodifestivalen veteran Linda Bengtzing amazed her home crowd with a selection of her entries “Alla Flickor” (2005), “Jag Ljuger Så Bra” (2006) and “Hur Svårt Kan Det Va?” (2008)

Were you there? Who do you think had the best performance? And which of the three Eurovision 2019 acts wowed you the most? Let us know down below.
