North Macedonia’s Eye Cue have been honing their craft post-Eurovision. Last year, they collaborated with Tatjana on the summer hit “On My Mind” and this time round, they’re released a funky pop tune “Dancin'” — and it’s giving us major dance-festival vibes. The “Lost and Found” duo, comprised of Bojan Trajkovski and Marija Ivanovska, aren’t wallowing in sorrow over their Eurovision placing or bagging the Barbara Dex award. Instead, they packed their bags and embarked on a musical journey to discover and record new music. Their first stop is London.

“Dancin'” — Eye Cue

“Dancin'” was revised, recorded and produced in London. The UK’s capital city serves as the inspiration for their fresh take on the funky electric-guitar tune. The song kicks off with an instantly memorable guitar tune, before moving into a hook that truly pops. They got us like a spider in their web and we can’t wait to get tangled up in more music from Eye Cue.

While London may be their muse, the origins of “Dancin'” were born a few years earlier. At one point, a different version was offered to Jana Burceska. However, the current version that we hear today is inspired by the city of London — the city’s pop-electronica soundscape is reflected in this composition. Lovers of their Eurovision hit “Lost and Found” will recognise their signature style and the three minute track length. The sound is familiar but manages to be captivating in its own right.

Speaking exclusively to wiwibloggs, Bojan from Eye Cue explains:

“Dancin'” is the track that we’ve always wanted to record. The song catches the natural vibe of how I play my guitar, and the vibe of how Marija sings and dances. When it comes to dancing, I prefer to play the guitar. Marija has her own moves and watching her dance inspires me to write more music.

“The idea behind the artwork is connected to the provocative lyrics of the song. We tried to translate this sensual energy to print. I hope that our fans can feel the seduction.”

“Dancin'” lyrics — Eye Cue

Dan, dancin’

You got me movin’
All sensitive and sexy
No matter where I’m lookin’
I can’t find the exit

You got me like a spider
Like a spider to your web
And I know I will regret
But until that moment
I wanna moment with you
A moment or two

I got this feeling so good (x2)
When you’re watching me dancin’
When you’re watching me dan, dancin’

Dan, dancin’ (x2)

You got me movin’
All sensitive and sexy
No matter where I’m lookin’
There’s no exit

You got me like a spider
Like a spider to your web
I know I will regret
But until that moment
I wanna moment with you
A moment or two

I got this feeling so good (x2)
When you watching me dancin’
When you watching me dan, dancin’

Dan, dancin’ (x2)

Dancin’

I got this feeling so good
Dan, dancin’
Feeling so good
I got this feeling so good
Dan, dancin’
I got this feeling so good
Dan, dancin’
When you’re watching me (x2)
Dan, dancin’

You guys remember Isaura from last year’s Portugal? A bit off topic, but I found her new song, and it’s AWESOME! What do you think? Here’s the link https://youtu.be/1y86Arl69ig

Sigh…..i really wanted them to qualify. I liked the song very much but that staging and the awful clothes of the girl. I just dont understand why someone would wear that.

Lost and Found was another super good song in SF1 just like Greece’s Oneiro mou but both countries had artists with no charisma whatsoever, stiff and uncoordinated. I think Eye Cue are better in the studio than on camera.

Both North Macedonia and Greece agreed on the name North Macedonia. Now get over it and quit the useless politics, please.
