One month ago he released his album Gioventù Bruciata.

And now Mahmood has given given an hour long live performance on Italian radio station Radio2Live  of songs from the album in celebration.

Songs performed from the album include “Gioventù Bruciata”, “Anni 90″, “Uramaki” and “Il Nilo Nel Naviglio”. Mahmood also performed a keyboard version of a  non-album-track  “Dimentica”.

The set included his Eurovision entry “Soldi”.

The intimate show was given in front of only 100 people. They were the lucky ones who managed to get a ticket in the online ticket queue. The show was presented by Pier Ferrantini and by Carolina Di Domenica, who did the radio commentary for RAI on Eurovision 2018.

In the clip below from about 1:00 Mahmood gives an interview about his participation in Eurovision. Roughly translated, the chat went something like this.

‘The preparations are underway. I’m happy with the team. I remain the same and it doesn’t bother too much what others say, otherwise I’ll start panicking. I wasn’t afraid to compete at San Remo with Soldi because I was sure it would somehow pay off.”

Mahmood currently leads the Spotify streams with more the 30 million streams and  “Soldi” has been certified double platinum in Italy. So far a Eurovision version hasn’t dropped on Spotify, but three remixes have been released.

“Soldi” Rexmies

The Vigiland remix of Soldi comes from the Swedish DJ duo Claes Remmered Persson and Otto Pettersson, aka Vigiland. The are in the Nordics best know for their 2014 single “Shots & Squats”.

This remix below comes from Benny Benassi, in Italian DJ/Producer of tech/electro/house. He’s probably most known for his hit “Satisfaction”.  This remix adds a different beat to Soldi and electro elements.

Denis First is an Russian DJ, and has added at actually two versions: a remix and an instrumental remix. Denis First forms a duo with Reznikov, they are most know for their song “Shameless”.

What do you think of Mahmood’s performance of ‘Soldi’ on Radio2Live?  And how about the three remixes of ‘Soldi’, better or do you prefer the original? Let us know in the comments below.

i really hope he wins not bc i’m italian but bc it’s the first ever contemporary r&b entry in the history of the contest n frankly it needs a sound update, we can’t keep having a selection of songs that sound like they’re from the early/mid-2010s. slovenia needs to end very high too for the same reason.

Gioventú Bruciata is my favorite song of all time.
Even before i knew he was gay, i could actually feel it in his sadness… It’s very “gay” thing i guess…

If Mahmood wins it might be held in San Siro in Milan or Stadio Olimpico in Rome which are some of the major arenas in Italy.

He’s such a good guy 🙂 even after what happened after his Sanremo victory, he remains the humblest person on Earth… Sweetheart!

One of my favourite songs. Also because of the video I suppose as I didn’t really enjoy this live performance…. Hope the staging will lift it up.

That was a radio hall, not a tv show, that’s why the poor staging. Btw: he has said that the staging for Eurovision will be about play of light and projections

there was a big fight between our lovers in the middle of the street in Milan, they were arguing pretty intense, looked like Lorenzo was trying to prove something to Mahmood, but he didn’t listen, then Lorenzo literally bursts into tears, crying and shaking , Mahmood looked very upset and glum, then they just keep walking, dont look to each other, Lorenzo was still crying and Mahmood looked very sad and dark … people are still trying to guess what was that about, just a few weeks ago they were so happy together, paparazzi caught them shopping, eating in restaurant… Read more »

Neither Mahmood nor Lorenzo said nothing about that episode, these are only assumption given by gossip rags, in a word: “rubbish”. In any case, it’s not our businnes: please respect the privacy.

Of course its their private life, but the fight was in public place and many people were around and watching , we dont know why guys been arguing but the description from ItalianFan is pretty accurate, you cant blame people for being interested in celebrities life, seems Mahmood not even try to hide his love life from public anyway,
But paparazzi really need to back off a bit, they following him everywhere, poor guy probably hasn’t used to so much attention
