It’s time to pre-party! The songs have been selected, the artists have been chosen and we now know all 41 entries for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. National finals season may be over — sad face! — but the upside is that pre-party season is just getting started. This year’s acts are already on the promo trail in advance of the contest. And one key stop on the pan-European tour is the London Eurovision Party.

So far more than 20 acts have been confirmed for the evening show, and 16 of those acts are drawn from the Eurovision class of 2019. The party will be taking place on Sunday April 14th at the Cafe de Paris. Have you bought your tickets yet? If not we suggest you hop on it asap.

For acts who aren’t used to performing their songs live, the party is a great opportunity to do so — and in front of diehard Eurovision fans — many of whom will also be inside the arena in Tel Aviv. In some instances this will be an act’s first-ever live performance of the song with an audience, so it can be make-or-break when it comes to the betting table.

As in past years, a press day will take place in the afternoon and wiwibloggs will be on hand to scoop up some interviews and tease out some juicy details from each of the acts. You can review all of the confirmations thus far below. Then let us know what you want us to ask who in the comments section below and we’ll do our best to get some answers.

To the Czech participants, how did they come up with that name for their group ?

To Latvian group and Finnish duo , how would they assess their chances at Eurovision? What advice would they give to participants who have low chances of qualification?

To the organisers, why not choose a better venue?

To Sarah McTernan:
Do you feel any pressure to qualify to the final for Ireland after the success of Ryan last year? Ireland has only ever qualified once with a female vocalist since the semi finals began.

To Sarah McTernan: Decide a country which will most likely end up at number 22 in the Grand Final!

I can’t make LEP this year, due to work commitments. I only have one set of questions:
To Bilal Hassani: It takes a lot of strength to constantly be commented on by the public on YouTube – where does that strength come from? Also, Eurovision is an even bigger platform, so how are you coping with that fanbase so far? (I guess the music helps, but I’m interested if Bilal can share any “secrets” about coping.)
And generally to everyone else: I love you all. 🙂

Can you ask all of them who are their personal favorites this year and who they think will win? It’s a good indicator of jury voting…

You better stop yourself now. Or everyone here will hate you for being a big-head, but also your entry. And Duncan doesn’t deserve that.

that was sarcasm from me 🙂

NL won’t be the winner, i can still see them between 4th and 6th place (and my prediction came true last year when i said NL to be 18th)

You don’t understand sarcasm. We get it, you think Duncan is overrated. Now shut the f.ck up.

Finally we’ ll get a glimpse, who is able to deliver and catch audience live. Will Paenda touch and become a Dark Horse? Who might B a FFF? And let ‘s B aware, a small stage differs a lot to a huge one.

To Darude, is the song getting revamped? And are you going to remix some of the Eurovision songs this year?
To Duncan, who’s your favourite this year? And what is your favourite Eurovision winner of all time that isn’t from the Netherlands?

To Leonora : ‘Do you speak french ? Could you have a little discussion with Bilal Hassani and Eliot ?’

I like Leonora, she’s a beautiful woman that looks nice.

Other questions. To Albert Cerný (Lake Malawi lead singer) : ‘How tall are you ?’

And finally, then I will stop with my questions, to Duncan : ‘Is it possible to get your top 5 of the Eurovision 2019 songs please ?’ 🙂

For Victor Crone: Why Estonia? For Leonora: What is a figure skater’s life like? What made her decide to start a singing career and take part in the contest? For PAENDA: What is the story behind “Limits”? What is the reason she dyes her hair? For Lake Malawi: How was the process of making a music video like? Why was it made Instagram-style? For Michael Rice: How did his life change since Eurovision: You Decide? How is his waffle shop buisness going? For Duncan Lawrence: What are his music inspirations? How does his relation with Ilse DeLange look like? What… Read more »

My question to Lake Malawi: Is it possible that they get a female on stage saying the “I’m only a friend” part and interacting with Albert? That would be great!
And give Eliot a kiss from me, haha 😀
Oh, and it’s cool that they also invited National Finalists as Anna Bergendahl and the fantastic Holly <3

For Fred Buljo (Keiino’s Yoik singer) What he thinks I’m planning to crochet a little monster inspired by him?
And for Mahmood- Which fellow Italian Eurovision alumn he’d like to make a collaboration with?

Mahmood is not going to any pre party, including Eurovision in Concert, so they can’t ask him, I guess. He already wrote a few songs for Marco Mengoni (2013), by the way 🙂

Then only to Fred- He wants his mini-me DK, Aran or Chunky? I’m thinking in Toft’s Oatmeal, Green and Charcoal as the colours, and I might have some loose Shale for a wee pendant.
