Grab a seat and make yourselves comfortable, as we have the first results in of the OGAE poll 2019. OGAE Armenia is the first to hand in their results. And The Netherlands is the lucky one to get the first famous douze points.
The vote of OGAE Armenia is in line with the current betting odds, that for now forecast a victory for the Netherlands.
For the past two years OGAE France has kicked off the voting, but this year Armenia was the first to be released. OGAE Armenia last year gave 12 points to Israel, which of course eventually took the victory in Eurovision 2018.
Italy’s Mahmood received 10 points from the Armenian OGAE voters. And 8 points went to Switzerland’s Luca Hanni with ‘She Got Me’.

Will the OGAE Poll 2018 predict the winner of Eurovision 2018?
Not always. Last year the OGAE poll predicted a victory for Israel’s Netta, which turned out to be the winner of Eurovision. In previous years however, the poll has often in the past 12 years, chosen winners that ended up in the top 10 or didn’t even qualify for the final. So take the results with a hefty pinch of salt!
Keep your eyes peeled for more updates as results pour in from around the world!

Where’s the publication of the albanian OGAE juries?? Thats out as well.
the ogays always vote for current bookies favorites like a bunch of sheep, thank heavens they’re almost always wrong.
Weren’t wrong last year.
But they were wrong almost every year so. Half of their top 10 doesn’t even reach top 10.
All OGAE shows is which songs are hyped by the fans
Oh yet more commenters whining. Start your own poll if you don’t like this one. For goodness sake. It’s not like this will ruin our lives. Brexit on the other hand, yeah.
People forget these polls aren’t politically biased. Armenia gave the top three marks to N’lands, Italy and Switzerland. That won’t happen in Tel-Aviv.
Russia will probably get the 12 there, then -maybe!- 10 or 8 go to one of those three countries, since I expect Georgia, Belarus and Moldova to be NQ.
Not necessarily. In 2016 Armenian jury only gave 2 points to Sergey Lazarev and gave their 12 to France and last year they gave their 12 to Sweden – this goes to show that Armenia is transitioning from the CIS block voting practices.
Actually laughing about all this haters, hating on these polls!!! They are supposed to be fun. Jesus people take things so seriously!!!!
Then they should keep voting in their clubs for fun, instead giving so much attention to them on this site.
The “they” you mention refer to different groups… “They should keep voting” refers to the OGAE clubs who have been organizing these polls since 2007, way before Wiwibloggs was a thing. “They give so much attention” refers to Wiwibloggs who just decided to report it.
Albania’s vote is out. They have the exact same top 3.
yass, you are correct !! http://esctoday.com/173471/ogae-poll-2019-the-results-from-albania-are-in/
A bunch of gay queens vote for pop songs.
This decade, only 2012, 2013 and 2018 winners eventually won the whole thing. Emphasis on the word ONLY for goodness sake. But for sure these same OGAE people thought that Cyprus should have won last year. Don’t fool us. Don’t fool me.
Is it time for the OGAE poll again?
I hate these things. There’s so little difference between each country’s choices. It’s almost like having our very own international jury.
1. I don’t know why people complain that OGAE fans vote in a predictable way. Think about it, they are members in a club with similar interests, music tastes and expectations from the ESG product. (otherwise they would not make all the effort to be members of a club in the first place and just comment here instead).
2. Have you guys read about the new process for announcing the results? If so, what do you think.
What new process?
Apparently, they will be announcing the jury results as usual. But then, instead of announcing which country came last in the public vote, they will announce the number of votes that each country received based on the order of the jury votes. So, say for the 26th country based on the jury vote they will announce the total points from the public. Then, the 25th, 24th and so for. So, last year we would find out how many points Austria got from the public at the very end as they came top on the juries.
Sounds messy to me… But we’ll see.
2. It’s a total mess. I guess they are doing it for the public not to see the discrepancies between jury vote and public vote /usually the public are not happy when their votes are being screwed by the jury/. The fans will figure it out later on but not the general public so everyone will be happy. TBH I don’t care about the results anymore so I’m just glad I can discover new talented artists and their music.
I agree, I guess teacher’s pet Sweden complained about the humiliation they faced last year when they got 21 televote points…
Last week, I was at a party where they played most of the up-tempo songs of this years EV, the minute Malta’s Chameleon played .. boy they were the best 3 minutes of the night
Zero points for Slovenia?
Bye.
eight points for us !!
thank you Armenia.
That’s eight more than last year
Lol at you people angry with this poll every year. They vote for what the like, that’s it.
Said the most obssesional Italian happy for his Mahmood and his 10 pts…..
Makes no difference to me, tbh.
What is your obsession with italy? You’re bashing people who mention mahmood under every post.
Wtf… no one would rank greece this high.. and btw Belgium? Really?
Greece? Really o.o
Im happy fo all patient Swiss fans. You have waited since 1993 to have a chance in top 5 again:) This year i can really see it happen:). Slovenia i feel to is a grower. I want both in top 10. I also want Portugal not to qualify. My taste:)
Yeay, we came 20th
I think this will be basically the final top 10 in this voting. OGAE guys are so predictable 😀
Well, I wouldn´t bet on that…
It’s just like clones having all the same tastes.
Top 10 maybe not but top 5 for sure and we can already see That Italy, Switzerland and Cyprus are the 2019 fanwanks.
TOP 3 (betting odds) are all attractive males that were internally selected, presented fantastic videos and still have a surprise card to play (staging)…all efforts (and money) were concentrated on them since preparation day 1 by broadcasters. I wonder what it would be like if ALL countries were selected and presented on the same day and go through semi-finals and national final. All ON STAGE and NO VIDEO apart from national contest footage….Or everyone should skip national final and be internally chosen and present a video. You see, first impressions count and I really don´t think that everyone starts equally… Read more »
I don’t agree at all. Look at Sweden, they usually have a massive headstart in the polls based on Melfest. And in the end, it doesn’t matter, most people will see the songs for the first time in May.
We all know Sweden is Sweden. Plus, they always present a flawless staging and video. And I don´t agree with you, when songs are presented in May, everybody knows who the favorites are even if they are listening to the songs for the first time.
But what’s the problem? Having a national selection often increases the hype, it’s not a disadvantage at all. That the three frontrunners happen to be good-looking men is nothing more than a coincidence, for instance the Dutch jury had no idea who Duncan was when they picked his song.
We clearly disagree on this.
I partially agree with you. For internal selections it should be mandatory to send a live performance that then would be uploaded on the ESC Youtube channel before the usual deadline.
Internal selections only avalaible on video clip studio version are usually overrated compared to the songs coming from NF.
Agreed dutchie, around 50 percent of songs are released in march with a video clip so off course a lot of betting odds favorites will be allocated there. But there are a lot of exceptions … Italy, Iceland, cyprus and norway were either chosen via nf or before march and that’s 50% of the top 10. Also you got to take into consideration the quality of some of these nf’s. Even if the entries from Lithuania, moldova, Montenegro etc. Would have been presented with a slick video, they still wouldn’t have cracked the top 10 in the booking odds…. Because… Read more »
12 points to the naked boy. What a surprise!
We’re so used to (nearly) naked women in videos that once it’s a man, it’s suddenly an issue. It’s not meant to be erotic at all, it represents vulnerability, which I think is quite obvious… unless you’re a prude from the 1900s.
Being a man or a woman is not an issue. Nudity sells, erotic or not. It sells.
But that’s not what this video is about. I’m sorry if the human body is so scary for you.
Wrong point.
What do you mean? In Duncan’s case, the vulnerabity issue is quite personal, since he has a motor disorder due to being a premature child. Calling him ‘the naked boy’ is simplistic and, quite frankly, insulting.
The human body doesn´t scare me at all (as you mentioned before), in fact it´s quite the contrary…and that´s exactly why nudity is so appealing to everyone. I can call him naked boy because it´s what I see in this video, a naked boy…I don´t know anything about him personally (his personal life doesn´t interest me) and there is nothing insulting about nudity in this video to be considered offensive or is it?
The OP reduces him to just that, a naked boy. As if people would vote for him if they hated the song.
And you reduce it to a Love or hate song and as if people would not pay attention to the fact that he is naked. Like it or not, nudity sells and people will also buy it for it. A lot of people around me were talking about the video when it came out and I can assure you that the singing was not the first thing that they were talking about…Nobody noticed the song when snippets were released. Hype did the rest.
What ? Can you tell more about the disorder or send me a link?
You can use google translate

Well, to be fair, the message could pass without Duncan’s (beautiful) butt. That being said, the song is awesome and my personal favourite
Erotic content on ESC should be banned.
Hmm i think, many men forced to watch eurovision with the family were quite pleased with poland in 2014 xD
I understand the point Duncan is making with the video. But the song and point could have been made without the ass, as gorgeous as it is.:)
The song is really good and even with a different video it would still have done well because it is such a strong song. It’s quite different from say Poland 2014 because with that song sex and nudity was the whole point!
And surprisingly enough they gave 38 points to Azerbaijan! If you consider the hate those two countries have!
The OGAE fans are less partial and less prejudiced . In 2017 they had ‘Skeletons’ which was a great song in their Top 10.
Has Azerbaijan’s OGAE ever voted for them?
Nope. Azerbaijan’s OGAE has consistently marked Armenia last. One year they didn’t even list Armenia as a participant in the contest.
Lordy. They really have no chill.
@Ron OGAE Azerbaijan never reveals their full results though. In fact only a few fan clubs share the full results. So I don’t know where did you get that information from.
OGAE Armenia always gives points to Azerbaijan. 2 years ago they were in their top 10, too.
I seriously respect it
… And like every single year, a bunch of drama queens are whining that it does not predict the actual winner… WE KNOW. It’s not meant to predict anything: the OGAE voting only represents the OGAE voting, that’s why it’s called OGAE contest. You can all calm down.
TOP 10 last year had:
2. France (13th in Eurovision)
3.Finland (25th in Eurovision)
4. Australia (20th in Eurovision)
6.Bulgaria (14th in Eurovision)
7.Belgium (didn’t qualify)
8.Greece (didn’t qualify)
Ah Ah, well done.
1- Israel (1st)
Just sayin’
1-Italy 1st in 2017, just sayin’
Good that you pointed it out…people tend to forget very easily…
If you want to analyze results, do it properly: over the last 12 years, the actual winner of the ESC placed: – #1 of the OGAE poll 5 times – #2 of the OGAE poll one time – #3 of the OGAE poll one time – #4 of the OGAE poll one time4rd … That’s 8 times when the ESC winner was in the OGAE top 4. The ones they missed though are Russia 2008, Azerbaijan 2011, Jamala and Portugal 2017. Once again, the goal of this poll is NOT to predict the winner, it’s just a fan club polling… Read more »
And? In this decade only three OGAE winners have become actual winners. 2012, 2013 and 2018. Jamala wasn’t even in top 5 yet won. And even for top 5 they can be off. In 2016 Frans didn’t even reach top 15 with OGAE voting. Yet got 5th and the biggest ESC hit of the year. Last year France was runner up and didn’t even reach top 10. Just like polls OGAE voting is useless, even more useless. Because they are more off than not. But it’s fun nonetheless, to see which songs will be the fan wank of the season.… Read more »
Dude, did you even read my comments before answering? I’ll say it one more time: the OGAE poll is literally just a poll of the OGAE fan clubs (that’s why it’s called “OGAE contest”), it is not meant to predict the ESC winner or the final ranking. It is not meant to predict anything. It’s about as useless as your comments (and mine).
So you can keep comparing every single rank of the OGAE vs. all the ESC ranks for the past 12 years, it’s irrelevant cause you’re comparing things that are not meant to correlate.
Why do they keep making these fake voting things?
Unlike some polls here or in other sites where people from each country just skew the results, I quite like the idea of the OGAE polls. Yes they are fake, and normally don’t represent the actual result but regardless it’s interesting to view the opinion of the ESG “core” or “super-interested into ESG” fanbase. For example, I find it interesting that Armenia only gave 6 points to Russia cause the people that voted they know who Sergey is, how good he is or what he has done/about to do (unlike a fan that will see him first time ever performing… Read more »
Fan clubs vote for their favorite songs, how exactly is it fake?
Sorry, by fake I meant not real as in they don’t count towards anything other than being just OGAE polls. Wrong word/ command of the English language – my bad.
Ogae clubs in some countries consists only of 10 members for example, it’s not representative how the country will vote in May.
Top 3 is prefect! The others are not bad either
Well worth it
Really thought that the fans would vote for Iceland.
It’s ok. OGAE does not reflect much the winner of ESC. I mean yes Israel topped the OGAE and the eventual contest last year but a lot of fans, pretty much the OGAE people, think that Cyprus should have won last year. These are just based on the hype at the moment.
These polls and votings are useless, it’s the casual viewers who only watch it once that decides
But it’s fun none the less, especially to see which song will be ridicilously hyped by the fans:)
Thank you for your 10 points OGAE Armenia! 🙂
Italy deserve all the 12 points! Congratulations on the fantastic song! And lots of love from Armenia <3
It seems we’re gonna get OGAE’s version of John Lundvik’s jury vote in Mello.
To quote Duncan “game over”.
We already had that with Francesco in 2017. And look what happened to that…
And last year France so overrated too.
Disagree
Azerbaijan 18th- Nice that they aren’t last. And I’m glad The Netherlands got 12 points, I don’t think we got any the last couple of years and in 2016 we got nothing I believe… OGAE always has a clear winner, but the 2017 one finished only 6th but the 2018 one won it all.
In 2016 OGAE Armenia gave Azerbaijan 4 points. So, the fan club definitely tries to remain non-political.
OGAE Armenia always gives points to Azerbaijan. 2 years ago they were in their top 10, too.
I seriously respect it
