It’s all go in Amsterdam! On Saturday evening 28 artists will perform their Eurovision 2019 song live — in many instances for the first time — at Eurovision in Concert. Amsterdam is brimming with Eurovision fans who are ready to see their stars shine.
Ahead of the concert the acts will be meeting for one-on-one interviews with the press. As ever we’ll be standing in line and are ready to drop your questions. Sound off in the comments section if there’s anything you’re dying to find out.
We’ve already had a kiki with both Serhat from San Marino and Jonidi Maliqi from Albania. But there are plenty more interviews to be had.

Here’s what organisers have to say about this weekend’s extravaganza.
“No less than 28 participants in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 are getting ready to hit the
stage of AFAS Live this Saturday for the 11th edition of Eurovision in Concert, the
Amsterdam preview event.”
“The event includes the appearance of 2 former Eurovision winners as well and of course they
will treat the enthusiastic audience to their Eurovision evergreens: Nicole (ESC 1982) who
carried off the trophy for Germany with Ein bisschen Frieden and Dana International (ESC
1998) whose winning song Diva brought the contest to Jerusalem the year after.”
“Three former Dutch Eurovision participants will warm up the 4500 Eurovision fans right
before the concert: Sieneke (ESC 2010), Justine Pelmelay (ESC 1989) and Rosina Louwaars
(lead singer of Harmony, ESC 1978). The concert will be hosted by Dutch Eurovision
commentator Cornald Maas and Marlayne Sahupala who flew the Dutch flag in 1999 with
One Good Reason.”
“Prior to the concert, all delegations will be welcomed in Amsterdam by the Mayor of the
Dutch capital, Femke Halsema. Furthermore, the biography of the Netherlands’ last winner
Getty Kaspers (lead singer of Teach In, ESC 1975) will be launched. After the official
program, the 250 accredited journalists will be able to conduct one to one interviews with
the artists.”
Too bad Mahmood isnt partecipating. Idc about the others.
To all partecipants:
So I have a very uncomfortable question to you. Crimea is Ukraine?
no Crimea is Russia
One more question I really need to know:
For Keiino from Norway, does the joik carry any meaning? Or are they only some random sounds? And what does “He lå e loi la” mean?
To Jurij from Lithuania, what was your first reaction when you were told to kiss the other male dancer for This Time in 2015?
To Tulia – Could you give us some insight into the technique of white singing and what it is? When I heard your song for the first time I didn’t like it because it sounded like yelling but after doing some research I have come to appreciate it 🙂
To Darude: Are you worried that your reputation might overshadow your song?
To Sarah McTernan: With the nature of your song and the death slot placement, there is a risk that it might get lost in the semi. How are you planning to avoid that?
To every act: Is there any song that didn’t make it through its national final that you are glad you don’t have to compete against?
Still a pity that some ESC fan favourites decided not to come; yes Russia, Italy, Sweden, Malta and Cyprus, I’m talking to you. This was the first opportunity to let fans see what they can expect from you during a concert like ESC. However, you may regret it, for favourites like The Netherlands, Switzerland and Greece are in fact there, and might go even higher in the odds after giving a brilliant performance! 😀
Erm… Greece…
Skiwalko just because Katerine had a bad day doesn’t mean she can’t sing. She was clearly sick. When she recovers she will slay your existence
We’ve seen like 100 videos of her singing live and she even posted a video in which she hits that high note on the bridge and she just nailed it! It sounded better than in the studio version. So for those saying that it is going to be the flop of the year sorry to bust your bubble but it is not. Katerine can sing and she will sing in Tel Aviv
I didn’t say Greece’s gonna flop this year (as I am big Katerine’s fan and have already seen a couple of videos of her singing). I’m just saying the EiC performance didn’t do her any favour.
I agree with you all, and I hope to see much more from her. She’s got potential! She’ll be in Madrid, so that might be a turning point for her.

To KMH – apart from Muriel, are there any other iconic Aussie films you would want to turn into musicals?
To all artists who won through a national selection:
What was their favorite song in their national selection other than their own?
To all participants:
What makes you more nervous: Singing at Eurovision or answering uncomfortable questions from journalists at Eurovision?
Also, to anyone who hasn’t yet released a music video of their song (like Michael Rice or Nevena or Kate), when will this be happening?
for nevena what is her favourite song this year
Question for Kate: What is your favourite opera song that has entered Eurovision before?
Question for KEiiNO: Wil Fred Buljo wear any traditional SAMI attire for the ESC performance?
Oh, yes, I’d like that. And I’m thinking to use him as a model for one of my monsters, a traditional attire would be a nice challenge.
I wish John Lundvik was there so you could ask him the uncomfortable question about being compared to Cesar Sampson 🙂
Can’t wait for Katerine, she will slayyy!
Same. I can’t wait!
To Tulia: Are you planning to make many changes in your outfit or will it be quite the same as the one you usually wear?
To Darude: Do you feel pressure because of Finland’s bad results at Eurovision? What should be done to change the reputation of Eurovision in Finland?
Can you ask Hatari whether they’ll be wearing leather and spikes in their postcard?
To Hatari: Will Klemens bring back the red hair?
To Darude: are you remixing any the Eurovision songs this year?
(aside comment: will the show be broadcast somewhere online? )
haha Germany was there in 1999. Stupid question
To Duncan: Did you already put together the stage performance, and if so, can you give us a little hint?
@s!sters: are u plannin to stay a duo after the eurovision or are y’all goin solo
To Srbuk: why they didn’t choose “Half a Goddess” as her entry?
‘Cause Walking Out is a million times better.
@S!sters: Will your staging change essentially for Eurovision (especially clothes, LEDs, colours)?
Come on! This is 2019 – not 1945!
Ask kobi marimi — what do you think about your group of fans in isreal?
I would like to make a “poll” about the participants’ esc19 favourite entry
And ask ZENA about the odds
Is Crimea Russia or Ukraineee??????
to who?
To Russia :p
Russia isn’t partecipating tho
Assuming that everything goes according to plan and Hatari will sigra at eurovision, what will be your next step in dismantling capitalism? Has a certain Ukrainian woman given you any advice on how to deal with uncomfortable questions in Tel aviv?
For Duncan: what does it feel like being a eurovision champion?
To Zena: In the final of the national selection, your girls from backing vocals could not be seen almost at all – it’s bad , you do not think that you need to focus on them too (because they are very beautiful)?
Before you sing Joci with a touching song, after you Nevena with a great voice, how many points do you think you will get from the jury?
What do you think about the fact that Belarus hates you? (and it’s not for nothing)
To Katerine: ask her information about the staging!!
I am from Greece and I can tell you what she has said on TV: It will be similar to the video clip aesthetically but it will be evolved from that. And it will not be pink, not red and not blue. It will not be based on effects but it will be very theatrical. The last thing that impressed us is the fact that the organizers have commented that something in the act has never been seen in Eurovision before. That’s all that she has revealed. And (based on rumors) she has the same budget Cyprus had last year,… Read more »
To Hatari: What message do they want to convey through their song?
To Duncan: Will he be alone on stage?
To Katerine: What’s her favourite ESC 2019 song?
Katerine has already answered this question: Netherlands, Italy and Portugal.
oops I’ve missed that
Really she has chose 3of them? Where did she mentioned about? Coz they are my favorite too -)
I think it was an interview in Greek. She was asked if she’s heard other songs from the contest and if yes what’s her favourite and she said that the Netherlands, Italy and Portugal are her favourites cause they are close to her musical style.
Ask Serhat which Eurovision entry of his he prefers, 2016 or 2019? And ask Hatari if Matthías‘ throat hurts.
If you could ask Hatari if they are ever to release Ógleði as a single, THAT would be amazing!
To everyone: how do you prepare for a show or a concert? Any pre-show techniques?
Who is your favourite Eurovision winner?
Dont forget Loic
Am I the only one who want to know in what Hogwarts House they are?
I only have a guess for Hatari. They have huge Ravenclaw vibe
Please ask all the contestants for giving us some secrets about their stagings.
I would ask each artist a different question, so to save the writing time, just tell each artist that we love them.
To s!sters: how will you guys change your performance from the german national final?
Have you guys formed a better bond after the last few weeks?
Why is this site hiding my comment again? There is nothing mean in the questions I gave out.
This site has a pretty random word filter. you can avoid it by forst writing a very simple comment like only the word “nice” and then click on the edit button and put in the text you actually wated to write down. Works every time for me xD
First*, wanted*,
That is if I get to see my comment again before it gets hidden. Would be nice if the mods or admins are quick to see and resolve this kind of issue.
VERY UNCOMFORTABLE QUESTIONS INCOMING
To everyone
Which is your favourite Eurovision 2019 song?
Ask KEIINO: Will your performance in Eurovision be the same as in the Norwegian selection?
Will there be a live stream?
