As we get ever closer to Eurovision 2019, the OGAE poll, where fans across Europe (and the rest of the world) get to vote for their favourite of this year’s acts, is also continuing. Countries are submitting their votes thick and fast, with the latest results coming from OGAE Slovakia and Bulgaria.
The Netherland’s Duncan Laurence picked up both sets of 12 points. The bookie’s favourite had been languishing further down the scoreboard for a number of other individual clubs, subsequently dropping to third place overall. However, with another 24 points in the bag, a fight-back could now be on the cards.
The “Arcade” singer has some catching up to do though. Italy’s Mahmood was ranked second by each club, receiving both sets of ten points. This sees the “Soldi” singer become the first act this year to make it past the 100 point milestone.
Meanwhile, this latest batch of votes also brings good news for Armenia, Albania and Hungary. All three countries earned their first set of points. This means they definitely won’t be finishing with the dreaded nul points.
Full votes from OGAE Slovakia

The Netherlands – 12 points
Italy – 10 points
Switzerland – 8 points
Cyrpus – 7 points
Norway – 6 points
Malta – 5 points
Sweden – 4 points
France – 3 points
Hungary – 2 points
Greece – 1 point
Following The Netherlands in first and Italy in second, OGAE Slovakia gave their bronze medal to Switzerland’s Luca Hänni.
Further down the scoreboard sees Hungary pick up their first points. Returning artist Joci Pápai was rewarded with two points for his song “Az én apám”.
For the third time in this year’s poll, Russia did not receive any points. Despite finishing second in the OGAE Poll in 2016, Sergey Lazarev has not been able to muster up as much support for his returning entry “Scream”.
Full votes from OGAE Bulgaria

The Netherlands – 12 points

Switzerland – 8 points
Cyrpus – 7 points
Malta – 6 points
France – 5 points
Armenia – 4 points

North Macedonia – 1 point
The top three of OGAE Bulgaria is much the same. Switzerland once again picked up the eight points. Indeed, Luca Hänni is the only other artist, in addition to Mahmood, that has received points from every single club so far.
Towards the bottom of the scoreboard sees Armenia and Albania pick up four and two points respectively. This is the first set of points that both countries have received during this year’s poll, meaning that they’re officially off the starting blocks.
OGAE Poll 2019 Scores So Far
Following these latest votes, Italy has become the first country to earn a total of over 100 points. Switzerland and The Netherlands still follow closely behind and are still within striking distance. Don’t count them out just yet!
The only major change near the top is from Cyrpus. Tamta is now in fourth position after climbing past Sweden’s John Lundvik on the back of receiving seven points from both OGAE Slovakia and Bulgaria.
Further down the overall scoreboard, two countries that have seen a big jump in their placings are Malta and France. At the time of our last roundup, Michela and Bilal sat in joint 17th position with only four points. But, with both artists receiving points from Slovakia and Bulgaria, the Maltese and French singers have risen to 10th and 12th place respectively.

Countries that are not listed have yet to receive any points from voting clubs.
After the votes from ten clubs, 23 countries have received points, which leaves 18 countries still on nul points. But, with 34 clubs still to announce their votes in this year’s poll, it’s very much still all to play for!
Can anyone explain me how should this Ogae work? You can’t vote if u don’t send them request to be a part of the club and it’s OK but Even after u made & sent application form, they don’t respond to u. 50% of this votes that we see its example video bloggers from YouTube(they are in that club in their country) that makes reaction videos.(and rest 50% jury off course). How come it called votes from the fan if example me cannot vote for my favorite just because I’m not in this club ?? I just wanna say it… Read more »
Hi Nina, you need to join the OGAE club in your country. Best wishes, Peter

I am so rooting for The Netherlands and curious how it will be on the big stage of Tel Aviv!
Disagree. That would make a really interesting top 3. I can see it happening tbh.
Netherlands and Italy could happen but no way about Switzerland.
Because Switzerland is just that easy punchbag, right? When are you all finally start giving Switzerland some credit?
Even though OGAE votes reflect only a small portion of those who will watch Eurovision, I hope that Mahmood wins. Italy has been robbed too many times and they keep sending extraordinarily good songs. Soldi is a song with a message and it is very well produced. Good luck, Italy! – from Malta
I wanted Italy to win in 2017 and 2018. Not this year, sorry.
Italy is just one of the most overrated countries. Mahmood deserves a good spot, but I don’t think he can keep up the pace up to the top, as Gabbani and his predecessors also failed to.
Can gay queens’ tastes get any more obvious?
“Countries that are not listed have yet to receive any points from voting clubs.”
I can’t help thinking that none of these songs will ever be on the left side of the scoreboard
OGAE is a good entertainment to follow until the real competition begins.
Same question as every year: Which entries will b our Dark Horses? Who will slay live? Who will disappoint? Will there b big gaps between televote and juries? Who will b our FFF? Until now Mahmood my #1. Austria’s Paenda biggest grower, as great, deep lyrics form a unity with Melody and Paenda delivers live.
Yeah yeah Vanilla Mean with your bean brain lol we all believe in you, believe that lol!! The only one who promote Austria this year, too easy to find this childish person !!!
Never known that Mahmood was Austrian. 😉
Of the first eight OGAE votes in , only Spain and France had over 100 members voting……I’d remind you that OGAE had Portugal SEVENTH in 2017….an entertaining distraction at best that one should take with a pinch of SALT!
Go Netherlands, with the winning bop arcade
if i could vote in semi 1, they would go to finland for sure
now in semi 2 my votes will either go to Russia or Azerbaijan, or maybe Norway i think
I can’t wait for Mahmood tonight
Armenia is so damn underrated

Yes it is.
Girl just learned how to post gifs and won’t shut up about it.

I feel OGAE is overestimating Cyprus this ear for underestimating them last year. Replay is basically just Fuego..
Fuego is way better than replay. I have never replayed replay. Lol
Switzerland ( She got me), Malta ( Chameleon), Cyprus( Reply) are just cheap versions of Fuego. Really, I don’t get how they are so over-rated. Some stupid lyrics, with copied melody. Really, I don’t get, how they are in TOP 10, even in TOP 5. Such a shame.
Replay is a replay of Fuego. Chameleon is a chameleon of Fuego. When will people learn that it’s not good to turn on the copier.
Hehe, I agree 100%.
Totally unrelated: Mahmood just posted an ig story where he’s watching Spirited Away on his laptop. I love this man.
same 🙂
Good. My Asian blood is hyping.
27 members and 13 members… Wow.
Italy is the winner of Eurovision 2019
I’d love that. Soldi is my favourite song ever anywhere.
Well, the OGAEs’ taste all look pretty similar.
