The sky is the limit.

And after Cesár Sampson finished third last, expectations are sky high for Paenda who is representing Austria in Eurovision this year with her song “Limits”.

The blue-haired beauty performed at the London Eurovision Party this weekend, where we spoke with her, asked her about “Limits”, the music video, big stars and her second album.

Paenda – London Eurovision Party 2019

When our Deban asked Paenda if the song is about finding your limits, she explains:

“It’s about getting all emotional. Actually, it’s about talking about your feelings. We are all humans and we are all vulnerable”.

Her goal is to make people talk about this vulnerability that we all have.  She continues:

“It’s time to stop judging each other because of our feelings”.

Paenda also reveals that she really started tearing up while shooting the official music video.

“I started crying in the first chorus so much, it ran all down my cheeks.”

But, she isn’t afraid that Eurovision will be too much for her next month. While she has to focus on literally everything about her performance, she can easily “just take a step back and focus on just her emotions“.

She does not want to compare herself to Austria’s previous successes, like Conchita and Cesár. She is just really happy that they gained such great success in Eurovision. She is humble and grounded y’all.

Paenda – “Limits” (London Eurovision Party 2019 performance)

When we mentioned Madonna performing at this year’s Eurovision, she shared a little inside information. While being Jessie J’s support act last summer, she shared from her own experiences: “I didn’t meet her once!”.

She continues: “You have to be aware that they’re coming, it means that they are going to be in their backstage until they have to enter the stage. Afterwards they will not talk to anyone, mostly, head straight to their backstage area againI’m sorry, I just have to be honest”.

She is honest. She is humble. She is Paenda and we will see her in Tel Aviv.

Paenda will perform in the second semi-finals on the 16th of May. What do you think of Paenda’s live performance? Let us know in the comments below!

For me it seemed like she also cried in her Amsterdam performance, because of the way her voice cracked several times during the first verse. Absolutely no wonder, cuz I cry too everytime I hear this song. The far most touching lyrics of this year.

It doesn’t matter if she doesn’t qualify or manage to get a good position, I love where this song come from and what it says to me.
