It’s that time of the year again. This year’s Eurovision is almost upon us, and there’s a nice bunch of female hopefuls to vote for!

Last year we had 16 female solo acts – which means that this year’s 14 is a slight downgrade from that. But these ladies are standing firm and are proudly representing their countries. We’ve got actual girl power here y’all!

So here we have them, 14 ladies from Albania to Serbia, serving everything from ethnic ballads to teen pop. But who’s your favourite? You can vote for as many contestants as you like, but you can only vote ONE time, so make it count.

This poll closes, just ahead of the first rehearsals in May. It’s up to you, Europe. Start voting now!

  1.  Albania – Jonida Maliqi – “Khteju Tokes”
  2. Armenia – Srbuk – “Walking Out”
  3. Australia – Kate Miller-Heidke – “Zero Gravity”
  4. Austria – Paenda – “Limits”
  5. Belarus – ZENA – “Like It”
  6. Cyprus – Tamta – “Replay”
  7. Denmark – Leonora – “Love Is Forever”
  8. Greece – Katerine Duska – “Better Love”
  9. Ireland – Sarah McTernan – “22”
  10. Malta – Michela – “Chameleon”
  11. Moldova – Anna Odobescu – “Stay”
  12. North Macedonia – Tamara Todevska – “Proud”
  13. Romania – Ester Peony – “On A Sunday”
  14.  Serbia – Nevena Bozovic – “Kruna”

It seems almost half of these will miss the finals. Only the following seem to qualify according to odds:
SF1 Greece, Cyprus, Australia, Serbia(only Belarus stays out from solo female)
SF2 Malta, Armenia, Denmark, North Macedonia( Albania, Romania following close).

So unless there are surprises that leave out more men in favor of female solo artist we could be having only 8 female solo artists in the final which is less than 33%. I wonder if this means anything statistically compared to other years/results

Since the downvotes and upvotes are already heavy sides towards Katerine Duska, I white out myself to not vote here. Good luck to all the participants.

Tamta and Michela overrated in this poll, people are actually voting for songs which are not vocally daring.
Vocally vise, best voices are Jonida (epical voice), Nevena (lyrical voice), Kate (opera voice), Katerine (jazz voice).

Cant say better than said. Agree about tamta and michela with the maltese singer had never performed the song life. There is a great difference on certain songs between live to studio songs. Both are overrated

Song-wise, Paenda, by far. The only solo female act in my top 10.
Vocal-wise, Kate and Anna. Best female voices this year.

Greece and Albania – because they have strong and beautiful voices,
Cyprus and Serbia – because their voices are really nice for my ears (Nevena has beautiful voice and song),
Belarus and Romania – because they are very talented and charimsatic.

1) Why all this hatred around it all? Can’t we all be civilised people just loving and supporting our entries? You don’t have to like/love a song; you can even (profoundly) dislike it. But why does one has to stay in the ‘slay/slaughter’-mode? “Tamta will slay!” or “Poland will be slaughtered!”. Or what to think about “The Dutch, always salty”, and “Italians are overestimating themselves”. WHY? Why do you have to respond in those harsh words? Come on people, this is not only a contest; it’s also a party! So let’s celebrate! Maybe we should be more focused on that… Read more »

Tamta and Kate.

Why is Albania so overrated on this site and fan twitter? Last year as well. Both songs are mediocre at best (public agreed last year, he flopped in televote). What am I missing? She won’t even qualify lol.

Albania is the least overrated song to be honest. It deserve to be on top 5 in bookies and is 24 so. Katerina , Tamta & Michaela are highly overrated with copy cat songs and nothing unique. ( tamta – eleni , katerine – jess glyne and michaela – dua lipa ). The singers should be more connected with originality and roots not with the commercial – trash. Bthw I love Italy , Albania , Portugal & Iceland ??

Kate (Australia) is way underrated, possibly because people don’t like her song. People: it’s about her voice, NOT her song! Looking from that point of view: she delivers! Katerine (Greece) is also one of my favourites. I just hope she doesn’t go vocally wobbly on the big stage.

Tamta (Cyprus) and Michela (Malta) are public favourites, and they do have good voices. But to be honest: they can’t reach the aforementioned singers.

Just looking from a ‘vocal-range of view’: the two K’s win it!

Sadly, there are still many people out there who cannot accept Australia’s participation in Eurovision. It’s mostly contempt that is downgrading Kate’s song at the moment. Zero Gravity might not be everyone’s cup of tea but it is a well-produced song of high calibre. I honestly think Australia is viewed as a threat in the competition and this isn’t sitting well with people, hence the negativity towards the song. There are mediocre songs higher up in the betting odds and in the OGAE polls that lack the WOW factor that is present in Zero Gravity. My opinion. Just waiting for… Read more »

Zero Gravity is my 1st place and yes, there are so many salty people who talk about “why they participate?”. But honestly, it would also be my 1st if it was the entry of Belgium, Serbia, Norway or Timbuktu, so people should get over this “country blaming”…

To be honest: the song sticks in my head, but I don’t understand why there are so much differences (in terms of music genres) in this song – just my opinion. Maybe she should’ve gone with less musical styles. But vocally, she’s WAY up there! And that should be noted, mentioned and recognised! I can’t understand why people would not vote for a voice like that, because it is a brilliant voice, indeed. Again; this poll is about the voice, NOT the song. So, people: vote accordingly. In general (concerning voices): Australia, Greece, Netherlands and Russia could be compared with… Read more »

It could be any of them really – I appreciate each one of them for different reasons, and I don’t think we have a bad female vocalist this year. But if I had to choose, it would be Zena and Michela for their youthful spirits and amazing voices, Jonida for elegance and style, Kate and Katherine for creativity and originality and Sarah for being such a down to earth person.
