A bolt from the blue.
Your life on the line. A mountain vista.
There is a lot to unpack in Georgia’s first rehearsal performance and at the centre of the malestrom: Oto Nemsadze. In the first ten seconds we go from a lighting strike, to a heart rate monitor and then a view of mountains.
After the first chorus blue vistas give way to red, as barbed wire swirls through the skies, and the world sets on fire.
Oto is then joined by his backing dancers, all clad in black, for a dark climax.
The piece ends in sunset and a handshake on the screen. Certainly it is an emotional rollercoaster over the course of three minutes. Oto sounds fantastic and hit his camera marks.
As mentioned however, there is a lot going on here, so for some it could be an assault on the senses.

Still not got much of a chance of qualifying but I feel that they have done literally everything they could. Well done, Georgia. I like your song more than before.
Mixed feelings. The background looks great and his vocals are impressive. But I agree with Angus, it amped is aggressiveness. And as a foreigner that doesn’t know much about Georgia, I can’t point what’s exactly making him angry and then it’s hard for me to connect. I believe it will be even more confusing to those who don’t know the lyrics.
Gotta say, his voice and this staging impress me. Too bad though that with the song itself, …none of that is going to matter….
I really grew to like this song, and a lot more than some of the other hyped up entries. Oto is an organic talent and should be rewarded for it. The choir elementin the song is fantastic as well. Best of luck, Oto!
Great singer, great staging, but the song…..
Great singer, great staging, great song and final for Georgia 🙂
best of today
uh him singing over an uninspired led backdrop is NOT a good staging
I actually liked the song. His vocal is impressive, performance very energetic and passionate! Back vocal is super nice also! I believe one needs to know the conflict background and the regional developments in order to sense all semantics that are both in the lyrics and the staging. .. and yea, undersranding the Georgian language would help a lot too.
I wish Oto a great success cause he really deserves it!
vara vara dada
Vaarada Vaarada Varada Rada Heeee
I can’t tell if it is “an assault to our senses” because I haven’t seen the camera work, but it worked for Goergia back in 2016 with “Midnight Gold”. In fact, everyone was hating on that song, as it’s happening with this one. Hopefully it will happen again and Georgia qualifies this year. The staging looks impressive and his vocals couldn’t sound better.
Barbed wires, fire, backing vocals looking into singer as you don’t know if they gonna kill him or kidnap him- what more one should wish for family show?
Hatari
True dat 😀
I like Oto is putting energy on the performance. But the stage looks too creepy for me.
your taste is creepy to me 🙂
You’ll be the first person I ever met who thinks that puppies, amigurumi and nerd tees are creepy then.
The staging looks absolutely beautiful, I especially enjoy the intensity of colors used here, overall it appears really promising, I hope it’s gonna be enough to prevent Georgia from finishing last.
Wow, this is actually very powerful. I was not expecting that. Well done Georgia.
I have always loved this one, just happy to hear that his staging is epic. Not seen it yet.
The LED’s are great, but idk if they are good enough to carry this song to the final. I do think it will overshadow Belgium tho.
I hate the wires it looks chessy and cheap and tbh it ruins the whole performance for me… I like LED, but the only countries that used them good so far were Cyprus, Slovenia and Belgium.
But the wires are an elemental part of this song if ypu know the background story, as well as they already had in the video.
True, but they look cheap. I mean and it’s not like people will vote for the song, because it has wires on the LEDs
He looks scary.
