Cyprus – Tamta

Yesterday the first nine acts rehearsed for the first time at Eurovision 2019.

We had graffiti girl glam, wondrous whirlpools and a gorgeous galaxy of stars from Slovenia.

But in the minds of our readers one lady came out on top. Her name is Tamta and she will sing for Cyprus in Semi-Final 1.

We counted 4923 votes and Tamta secured almost 22% of them. That’s 1068 in total. In an interview with our William, Tamta revealed she’s pushing through pain to perform and clearly our readers salute her spirit too.

Slovenia’s Zala Kralj & Gašper Šantl perform amidst a stunning starscape and our readers think they’re out of this world. The darling duo placed second with 16% of all votes cast.

They’re followed by Serbia’s Nevena Božović. Belgrade’s comeback queen performs amidst a swirling whirlpool and she appears to have swept the rest of the competition away. She earned 15.7% of all votes cast.

Poland’s Tulia were fourth favourite and the Czech Republic’s Lake Malawi came fifth.

When people say Tamta’s vocals were off, I think they could just hear an overwhelming noise coming from the backing singer because they weren’t great

Honestly she hadn‘t the best rehearsal yesterday, but well, we all know these polls are mostly nonsense.

Let’s just hope Tamta sings better in the live show, ’cause yesterday was yikes.

I don’t know why people are so harsh with the Czech republic, they were great yesterday.
