The calm is over and the storm has arrived.
Estonia’s Victor Crone stepped on stage today for Estonia’s first rehearsal at Eurovision 2019.
He starts out with an acoustic guitar, alone on stage, set against black and gold screens.
After the first chorus gold rectangles radiate out across the stage, before the screen turns stormy.
The choreography is similar to Eesti Laul and it seems the AR segment will also feature again. The performance starts calm, enters into the storm and then turns calm afterwards.
Unfortunately Estonia was beset by technical problems. The first run had to use stand in footage for the AR segment and then a large part of the rehearsal was given over to perfecting the green screen.
At times the vocal mix also sounded off between Victor and the backing vocalists, but that is likely a production issue they can iron out.
The main issue here is technical.

I’m actually going to be annoyed if this qualifies at the expense of an interesting song. When following the rehearsals, this was the song that I really struggled to get through having to listen to for 30 minutes.
Nothing much to say here, since they already had the whole routine figured out and just needed to improve the storm graphics. Now, the homework is to make them work properly.
Good thing there going to use those on-screen effects again, because that looked really good in the national final. Seems a little boring without them…
He had a better performance at the national selection…
Victor Crone is extremely handsome I must say. 🙂 The staging is solid, I think Estonia is a borderline qualifier, but I feel like he’ll make it.
I think Estonia will fail to qualify unfortunately. It won’t stand out and bad running order.
This song could finish much higher than we think. It’s fairly simple, there are plenty of sing along moments, the guy is sympathetic.
I think only Avicii could do great with this!
Not bad though..
Plenty of time left to get the AR or the green screen set right. 🙂
It’s okay; it’s a cheerful song that will get some votes.
I predict this will be Top 10. A lot of people will like the graphics on the night, and even if a little predictable, the song is catchy and upbeat with a happy message.
Haha.. Estonian team recorded mainly the storm effect today and you think they had technical issues.
Victor, just thought I would show you some love as your posts on this site consistently get quite low attention. I know why that is, your song is quite generic and something many have heard before. But I predict you are going to do really well. I think the graphics in your song are really good and there is a reason why Avicii was so popular – because he made songs that people like. And so i think you’ll do well with the general public. You are in my Top 10 Victor so I wish you all the best, your… Read more »
Me and my guitar sailing to the NQ
Will sail through between all the craziness…
It isn’t bad at all, but the song is completely average and his voice is nothing special. It will sound familiar with that Avicii style, so it might please the listeners with just one listen. It could qualify or go home, I see it placing around the 9th-13th place.
The lad is charming like spicy curry, the song is flat like a pancake….
Hope that this will reach the final. The song is very good.
Before rehearsals I thought one of Finland And Estonia would make it. Now I believe both will get eliminated.
it doesn’t look so bad, despite the tech problems, but I still think it will fall flat in the middle of that group of songs.
