On May 6, the acts competing in the first half of the second semi-final completed their first rehearsals. We had big chairs, small chairs, bar tables and sand in every orifice.

At the end of the day, we asked you who you thought had the best rehearsal of the day. After counting 5,304 votes, we can reveal that Sweden’s John Lundvik topped the poll with 22.57% of the vote.

Bathed in a golden light, the strapping Swede got your pace racing with “Too Late For Love”. Your love for him, however, was on point. He received 1,197 votes and came out on top.

Hot on her heels was Luca Hänni of Switzerland. Serving despafuego realness, he received 989 votes (18.65%), among a sea of red staging and red back up dancers.

Rounding out the top three was Romania. Giving off a Dracula vibe, Ester Peony were one of the standouts of Day 2 of rehearsals. They received 953 votes (17.97%) to finish third in the poll.

Armenia received 11.93% of votes to finish fourth and Austria reached her limits, finishing fifth with 9.05%.

My impressions and my top 18: (+) 1. The Netherlands (++) 2. Azerbaijan (+) 3. Switzerland (good, though it could be better, the hype was high. Vocally it is a bit dissapointing) (++) 4. Malta (++) 5. Austria (positive surprise as Georgia, hope Austria qualifies) 6. Lithuania (the staging could be better but I already love the package) (+) 7. Sweden (I’m not into the song, but gotta love the mammas) 8. Armenia (+) 9. Albania (it needs to be tweaked, but the song really comes to live thanks to Jonida and everything is better than those traffic lights from… Read more »

This has to be the worst half of both semis. No one bar Denmark from this list deserve to qualify.

Yea I agree. SF 1 has a weak first half except Cyprus.

1st half of semi 1 has the worst acts, but also some really good ones (Slovenia, Serbia, Czechia, Poland), while 1st half of semi 2 is more mediocre on average (but Romania is amazing and Sweden is finally good).

In this group of songs Sweden stands out.
If they win the semifinal, then yes. They are being overrated.

You finding it overrated doesn’t mean it is overrated it’s a opinion, not fact.

Miguel that is a new take on bashing Sweden to say that the competetion in this paticular case was low. When they won. Well as long as you end up saying Sweden is bad you will have a lot of likes.

Are you Swedish or what?
I said i agreed Sweden was the best song in this rehearsal.
If you think in order to Sweden to be considered the best song, all the other songs must be bad, then you have a problem not me.

It’s my opinion not a fact. The same as you and Denis also have opinions and are not factfinders. You believe next year we should meet in Stockholm, I don’t….
