She brought Malta back to the Grand Final after two years in the Eurovision wilderness.
And after her adventure in Israel, Michela is back in action in her native Malta.
That’s because she’s just announced a concert on June 6 in Valetta, where she’ll appear alongside the other finalists of X-Factor Malta.
The 18 year-old announced the news on her Instagram page and through her Instagram story.
In the feed post to her 41.9k followers she says simply, “My concert is here.”
The concert will take place in Pjazza Tritoni at the gates of Malta’s capital Valetta from 8pm.
The show is also free admission for fans. Michela gives back to her public y’all.
Michela’s version of “Colours” leaks
In the months after X-Factor Malta, PBS and Michela’s team picked “Chameleon” as Michela’s song for Eurovision.
But now a snippet of another candidate song has leaked online.
Lovin Malta has uploaded a 30-second snippet of “Colours”, which it claims was one of the options for Eurovision 2019.
In the song the “Chameleon” hitmaker sings of finding her lover in the dark and how they opened her eyes.
Insiders involved in Bulgaria’s selection in 2018 confirm the song is a rework of the track considered by BNT that year.
At the time BNT called the song “radio friendly” and we have to agree.
In a further interview with Lovin Malta, Michela teases that “Colours” may make the track list of her forthcoming debut album, but that fans will have to wait and see.
Lovin Malta also reports that further candidate songs are circulating on Whatsapp, so we may see more options from the Maltese selection emerge in the coming days.
