They’re tired of competing, but Germany’s Eurovision 2019 stars S!sters definitely aren’t tired of making beautiful harmonies together. They’ve kept working after their Eurovision result, proving that sometimes unpleasant outcomes only make you work harder.

The acoustic version is the latest in a series of releases that started during Eurovision. First came their emotional music video, followed by two new remixes. And now the icing on the cake: the stripped-back acoustic version of “Sister”.

In the video, the two ladies stand right in front of each other. Wearing headphones, holding mics and wearing simple black outfits, they keep the focus on the music, creating a truly intimate experience.

The purity of the song and strong lyrical content come through clearly. Standing in a hotel room and delivering a song with this much passion could come off a little over-the-top. But this doesn’t feel ridiculous by any means. The strength of their real-life friendship and the difficult journey they’ve shared helps this feel natural and heartfelt.

Best of all, they are pulling all those notes and harmonies. You can’t fault these vocals.

Judging from fan reaction, the S!sters are onto a winner with this one.Fans have applauded the new version, which highlights the individual talents of Carlotta Truman and Laurita Spinelli — and how dynamite they are together. Many also applaud the energy pouring out of them. It’s safe to say they’re carrying many of their fans over into their post-Eurovision lives.

In an interview with German broadcaster NDR, the duo made it clear their zero televotes haven’t left them stunned and gasping for air.

It turns out they weren’t even in the green room. They had instead taken a well-timed toilet break from the results.

For them, the Eurovision Song Contest isn’t about winning. It’s more of a general statement – “music unites all nations. In this competition there is no skin color, religion, no fights, just music.”

Germany takes so much pride that their voting is similar to the final result of esc overall, but how come they make so lame choices for themselves? Anybody from Unser Lied would have been better.

Gosh, I just don’t understand why they were so underrated this year! The song is so powerful, it has an important message (and one that no song I have ever heard before has talked about), their vocals were on point, and their personalities are second to none. This, for me, is one of Germany’s two best Eurovision entries since 2004 (and probably ever actually!). The other gem entry of theirs was another underrated one: Cascada’s ‘glorious’.

Amazing and powerful song. The best together with the Norwegian one. I think the main problem is that it is not “catchy” for first hearing. It takes some time to understand it’s power. Now I can’t stop listening to it over and over again. Ignor the result Germany – you got perfect song with wonderful show.
Love you from Israel

That’s very true yosi… I also feel the song gets better with time, much like the Israeli entry. 🙂

Also imagine they got like 320 televoting points just for the camera crew to find out they are on a toilet break xD

Still can’t wrap my head around how they got last place in the televoting. Their live performance was amazing. I think the running order screwed them over.
