He was the runner up at Melodifestivalen 2018, and ever since then Felix Sandman has been one of Sweden’s most promising newcomers. Now, the singer is continuing his successful path and teasing what’s to come from him in the future with the new song “Middle of Nowhere” .

This new track comes shortly after his acting debut in the Swedish Netflix show “Quicksand”, and his duet with Eurovision 2018 star Benjamin Ingrosso, “Happy Thoughts” .

The song has dropped right in time for the summer season. It starts off with staccato instrumentation that sets the tone for a bright explosion in the chorus.

The “Every Single Day” hitmaker also switches up his vocals in the chorus and takes things up to a considerably higher register — you gotta show what you’re able to pull off!

With clever use of drums and percussion instruments, the song drives on its addictive beat. Accompanied by Felix’s vocals, this all creates a wonderfully relaxed vibe.

Lyrically, “Middle of Nowhere” sees Felix no longer wanting to wait for the person he’s fallen in love with to feel the same way about him. Instead, he realises that he needs to leave.

The Swedish singer “can’t take these lies that aren’t made to hide”. He knows there’s nothing else to do other than leave, before ending up in a toxic relationship.

Felix Sandman – “Middle of Nowhere”

Since its release, the track has already reached the top half of the Swedish iTunes charts, while also charting on the Apple Music and Spotify charts.

In fact, it’s fair to say that Felix Sandman has become a force to be reckoned with, as he’s constantly to be seen on the Swedish streaming landscape.

It’s a very strange comment section. I mean weird even by Wiwibloggs standard…

He is a train wreck. He should have been in Lisbon, but Sweden didn’t got the meme.
What a waste! The only decent song Sweden can produce. Sorry Felix, try for another country.

Even I hair have a better hair cut than he does. And my hairline is receding like crazy.

Of what? His poor hair cut and rapid aging process? Yes, I can barely contain my jealousy.

He was never the same person after he lost to Benjamin Ingrosso. Of course they say they are friends, but we have eyes.

He was probably prepping to be in character for Quicksand.
