Estonia’s favourite Swede Victor Crone has just dropped a new dance banger, “Take Me Away“. Following his qualification for the Eurovision grand final after winning Eesti Laul with “Storm”, Victor dived back into the studio to create this Avicii-style dance anthem. For the track, he’s teamed up with Scandi hitmakers Tungevaag & Raaban.
While Victor collaborated with Estonian creatives for Eurovision, this time he’s looking a little closer to home. Tungevaag & Raaban are an electro house production duo, consisting of the Norwegian DJ Martin Tungevaag and the Swedish producer Robbin Söderlund.
It’s not first time the “Storm” singer has worked with Tungevaag & Raaban. In 2017, the three released “Coming Up”, which reached No.2 on the Swedish Heatseekers chart.
“Take Me Away” is a summer 2019 track. An escapist dance anthem with thumping beats, digital whistling and a killer string section, one can’t help but storm the dance floor whilst waving one’s hands in the air.
Victor Crone does himself again in these three minutes, but he does it so well. The track builds to a high, and then turbos out of its refrain. As far as dance offerings go, this is excellent. It is the best teaser for his EP which is due out late September.
Speaking exclusively to wiwibloggs, Victor explains:
“Marcus Svedin and I wrote this song when I was back in Sweden shortly after winning Eesti Laul. We wrote it with an acoustic guitar and wanted to create a positive vibe. We felt that Tungevaag & Raaban should produce it.”Take Me Away” is about getting away to the sea, to the mountains or to nature. In a nutshell, it is about living life to the fullest. We believe that it is a song that works both acoustically and for clubbing. I hope you enjoy it.”
