Here in the UK the media is abuzz with the revelation of who will compete on the upcoming edition of the BBC’s hit series Strictly Come Dancing. And if this year’s lot — including Saffron Barker and Chris Ramsay — don’t light your fire, you may want to look East. That’s because Ukraine is giving Eurofans a divine and potentially very sinful treat courtesy of MARUV.

Yep, the winner of Vidbir 2019 who ultimately didn’t compete at Eurovision has confirmed that she’ll be hitting the dance floor on the upcoming series of the show.

She did so in true Maruv style, slipping into a Dominatrix-themed outfit for an Insta vid. A disco ball rolls towards her before stopping beneath her platform pleather heels (which come with a very pointed spike). She then spreads her legs, which are barely concealed beneath a pair of black fishnets.

“Ta da! Taking part in Dancing with the Stars,” she writes in the caption. “It means that by the new year I will become a great dancer. I will pump the booty, pump the press and sit with transverse splits.” Given her knack for provocation, we’re wary of interpreting her thumbs up emoji.

Following Eurovision 2019, MARUV wrote off Duncan Laurence’s Eurovision performance as “mediocre”, and suggested that her stage show would have been far more memorable. She cited her dance moves as part of the magic.

As you’ll likely remember, her choreography included a moment where she used her right arm to pump her right leg in and out while she sat on the floor in front of three women performing some sort of downward dog train line. Surely these scintillating moves will help her with passionate dances like the salsa and samba.

She’ll face stiff competition from Vova Ostapchuk, one of the three hosts of Eurovision 2017 in Ukraine. The handsome star has already given us a tease of what he’s got with his announcement video on the show’s Instagram account.

Wearing a baby blue suit, he proves that his hips don’t lie as he shimmies and shakes with abandon. He appears to cha cha with maracas, swings an imaginary axe, waves at God knows who and ends with his own Zoolander pose.

Writing on his personal Instagram account, he said: “I always dance as if no one sees me. This fall my dancing will be seen by the whole country.”

Of course, we’ve already seen his dancing. Vova famously parodied MARUV’s “Siren Song”, showing us his best moves in the bathtub and on the sitting room floor. Watch that below.

Are you excited to see these Eurovision stars bust a move? Who do you think has what it takes to appeal to the entire country? Let us know down below.

I hope her dancing is better than her singing live. I still haven’t recovered from listening to her duet with Netta.

Robin Bengtsson (Sweden 2017) took part in the Swedish version of the format this year and no one wrote an article about it. How sad.

She is NOT gonna come back to Vidbir, as she said she is not interested , though she added maybe if only she would be offered a lot of money, but our poor local broadcaster will never pay her, we have enough artists who want to compete in Vidbir and really dream to go to ESC, so Maruv’s participation is definitely out of question.

BTW Rumors saying Kazka, Khayat and Kadnay will compete again

It was the same interview where Maruv said that Duncan’ song is average and she would win ESC….ugh!
I believe she never wanted to go to Eurovision, she wanted hype and scandal and she got it.
I wish Tayanna wouldn’t withdraw this year… sob

If Khayat win Vidbir next February i would be glad, he is so unique artist, also he is super handsome and speaks English perfectly 😀

Maruv has never said Duncan’s song was average, you are most likely confusing her with someone else.
Futhermore, in a couple of her interviews she said Arcade is an awesome song.

She said exactly ‘average’ about staging and song itself, i speak Russian perfectly and i didn’t confuse anything

Then you are just a hater and a fake-news-spreader. Fourtunately, I speak Russian perfectly too, so you came across a wrong person to fool. The one and only thing she has ever called “average” about Duncan was his singing.

That is completely understandable considering that Maruv was invited to compete there in the first place instead of volunteering to take part. Apart from Kazka and Khayat, I hope to see YUKO as well. And maybe Filatov taking part with ONUKA or his other projects because I am so sick and tired of him criticizing the artists in the show.
