Eurovision 2019 may have been dominated by men but let’s not forget the ladies. And to help with that Eurovision’s Next Top Model 2019 now takes centre stage. The ladies brought plenty of fuego, from Albania’s Jonida Maliqi to Romania’s Ester Peony. Everything they did was big, from Katerine Duska’s grand feminine staging to Sarah McTernan’s milkshake bar. And the only thing bigger than our ladies’ chairs were their seven-metre sway poles!
What do all of these ladies have in common? A yearning desire to walk out of Eurovision 2019 with the crown of Eurovision’s Next Top Model. Spain is the defending champion of ENTM, with Amaia sashaying to victory in 2018. The Iberian nation will have to hand the crown over to a new queen, as they sent a male performer in 2019.
There is a minimum age requirement of 18 for this competition, so Belarus’ ZENA is not eligible.
The hall of fame
Romania is the most successful nation in the history of ENTM. They have won the trophy four times — including two wins for Paula Seling. Armenia is the only other nation to have won the competition more than once, with Tamar Kaprelian and Iveta Mukuchyan winning in back to back years. Can Ester Peony or Srbuk add another trophy to either country’s mantle?
Eurovision’s Next Top Model is a coveted honour, and it takes a special calibre of Eurovision contestant to take the title. The winner must possess endless charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent. They must also exude confidence as they take on any carpet — whether it’s red, blue or orange.
With that said, it is time to vote. You can review each of the ENTM hopefuls below before casting your vote for who you think should take the kruna. You can vote for as many of these beautiful ladies as you like but you can only vote once so make your vote count.
The deadline to vote is September 30, so be sure to make your decision quickly.
